Suzuki GSXR1000 K9 L0 2009 – 2010

Price range: £ 137.60 through £ 328.52

The suzuki gsxr1000 k9 l0 2009 – 2010 is one of the most iconic litre-class superbikes ever to roll out of Hamamatsu, and if you’re looking to unleash its full potential, a high-quality performance exhaust is one of the single best upgrades you can make. At Max Torque Cans, we’ve developed a dedicated link pipe kit specifically engineered for the suzuki gsxr1000 k9 l0 2009 – 2010, giving you a cleaner, freer-flowing exhaust note, a weight reduction, and a genuinely improved riding experience — all backed by British craftsmanship and real-world fitment knowledge.

Whether you’re chasing better throttle response on track days, want to pair a aftermarket can with a proper de-cat setup, or simply want to rid your bike of the restrictive stock catalytic converter, this kit has been designed with you in mind. Read on to find out exactly what’s included, how it fits, and why riders across the UK trust Max Torque Cans for their performance exhaust needs.

What’s Included in the Suzuki GSXR1000 K9 L0 2009 – 2010 Link Pipe Kit

This kit is a complete single exhaust conversion package. Everything you need to carry out a clean, professional-looking installation is supplied straight out of the box. Here’s what comes with every suzuki gsxr1000 k9 l0 2009 – 2010 link pipe kit from Max Torque Cans:

  • 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — crafted from premium 304-grade stainless steel using precision CNC mandrel bending techniques. This ensures a smooth, consistent internal bore throughout the entire pipe, eliminating the flow restrictions you’d find in a crushed or press-bent alternative. The result is better exhaust gas scavenging, improved throttle response, and a longer-lasting finish that resists corrosion even in the harshest British weather.
  • 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — a robust, purpose-made stainless steel strap to securely mount and support your silencer. No rattling, no movement, no compromise.
  • 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — a high-temperature rubber buffer that sits between the strap and your can, protecting both the silencer finish and reducing vibration transfer to the frame.

This is a single exhaust conversion that removes the catalytic converter from the original exhaust setup. De-catting the suzuki gsxr1000 k9 l0 2009 – 2010 frees up exhaust flow significantly, and many riders notice a sharper throttle response and a more aggressive exhaust note almost immediately. Combined with the right aftermarket can, the transformation in both sound and performance is remarkable.

Fitment Guide for the Suzuki GSXR1000 K9 L0 2009 – 2010

This link pipe has been designed and manufactured exclusively for the suzuki gsxr1000 k9 l0 2009 – 2010 — that’s the K9 model year (2009) and the L0 model year (2010). Please double-check your model year and variant before ordering, as link pipes are bike-specific and will not transfer between different generations of GSXR1000.

If you’re unsure whether this kit is the right fit for your machine, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us directly. Our team rides and works on bikes just like yours, so we understand exactly what you need. Fitment on the suzuki gsxr1000 k9 l0 2009 – 2010 is designed to be a straightforward bolt-on process, requiring only basic mechanical knowledge and standard hand tools in most cases.

The mandrel bent link pipe is shaped to match the original routing of the factory mid-pipe, so there are no clearance issues with the frame, bodywork, or footpegs. It drops into place cleanly, and with the supplied strap and rubber buffer, your chosen can will sit securely in exactly the right position.

Installation Notes for the Suzuki GSXR1000 K9 L0 2009 – 2010

Before you begin fitting your new link pipe to the suzuki gsxr1000 k9 l0 2009 – 2010, we recommend the following steps to ensure a smooth and safe installation:

  • Allow the engine to cool completely before starting any exhaust work. Even after a short ride, headers and mid-pipes retain significant heat.
  • Use penetrating oil on original bolts and clamps prior to removal — particularly on older bikes where corrosion may have set in over years of use.
  • Check all gasket faces are clean before fitting the new link pipe. A clean mating surface ensures a gas-tight seal and prevents any exhaust leaks that could affect performance or create unwanted noise.
  • Torque all fixings to the manufacturer’s specification and check them again after the first heat cycle once the bike has been run and cooled down.
  • Consider a remap or fuel trim adjustment if you’re running a full de-cat setup. Removing the catalytic converter changes the fuelling characteristics slightly, and while many riders run without issue, a remap will always help you get the most from your setup.
