If you’re lucky enough to own the legendary aprilia rsv 1000 mille 1998-2003, you already know you’re riding one of the most celebrated Italian superbikes ever to grace British roads. This is a machine that turned heads in its day and continues to command respect among discerning riders who appreciate true engineering pedigree. Now it’s time to make your RSV Mille sound as spectacular as it looks, and at Max Torque Cans, we’ve engineered the perfect bolt-on performance exhaust specifically designed to complement your prized Italian V-twin. Our exhaust delivers a deeper, more aggressive tone that does justice to that iconic 60-degree engine — all without requiring costly modifications to your existing downpipes or a trip to a specialist workshop.

Why Upgrade Your Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille 1998-2003 Exhaust?

The aprilia rsv 1000 mille 1998-2003 was never just another superbike. When Aprilia launched the RSV Mille in 1998, it announced its arrival as a serious player in the superbike arena, taking the fight directly to established rivals from Japan and Europe. Powered by a characterful 60-degree V-twin engine producing close to 130bhp in standard trim, the RSV Mille offered a thrilling combination of razor-sharp handling, stunning Italianate styling, and a soundtrack that set pulses racing. Whether you’re blasting along open A-roads, carving through twisty B-roads, or turning heads at a weekend meet, the right exhaust transforms the entire riding experience — and our system has been engineered with precision to unlock that potential.

Built using high-grade stainless 304 steel and CNC mandrel-bent pipework, our exhaust ensures a perfect fit and long-lasting performance that can handle everything the British climate throws at it. The mandrel-bending process is crucial here: unlike crush-bent pipes, mandrel bending maintains a consistent internal diameter throughout every curve and angle, allowing exhaust gases to flow freely and efficiently. This translates directly into sharper throttle response, improved power delivery, and that unmistakable deep, purposeful roar that reminds you exactly why you bought an Italian V-twin in the first place.

Effortless Installation for the Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille 1998-2003

We understand that most riders don’t want to strip down half their bike just to fit a new exhaust. Time is precious, and the last thing you need is an expensive trip to a specialist workshop before you’ve even enjoyed a single mile with your new can. That’s why we’ve designed our exhaust for the aprilia rsv 1000 mille 1998-2003 to make installation as straightforward and stress-free as possible, even for home mechanics working with basic hand tools.

Our exhaust comes complete with a stainless 304 CNC mandrel-bent link pipe that features spring hook attachments on the inlet end. This clever design means you won’t need to remove, replace, or modify your existing downpipes in any way. Instead, our robust stainless exhaust strap allows you to attach the can securely to your downpipes with minimal fuss, while the included exhaust strap rubber protects your bike’s finish and dampens vibration. It’s a clean, professional finish every time — without the professional price tag.

Fitment and Compatibility Guide

This exhaust is designed exclusively for the aprilia rsv 1000 mille 1998-2003 model range, covering all variants produced during this five-year production run. That includes the standard Mille, the higher-specification Mille R with its premium Öhlins suspension and forged wheels, and even the ultra-rare SP homologation special developed in collaboration with Cosworth. It is not a universal fit, and that’s precisely the point — by manufacturing to exact specifications for this particular bike, we can guarantee proper, secure fitment that looks factory-standard once installed, even though it’s anything but standard in terms of sound and performance.

The link pipe connects via spring hook attachments to your existing headers, and the mounting strap wraps securely around the can to anchor it in place. The rubber buffer between the strap and the can prevents any unwanted contact between metal surfaces, keeping your paintwork and chrome in perfect condition. The whole process can typically be carried out at home in an afternoon with basic hand tools, making it an ideal weekend project for any competent home mechanic. If you’re unsure whether your specific model year or variant is covered, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team — we’re always happy to help confirm fitment before you place your order.

To Make sure that you are shopping for the correct Model exhaust here is some information about this model.

The Aprilia RSV Mille was a sport motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 1998 to 2003. It was offered in three versions, RSV Mille, RSV Mille R, and RSV Mille SP.

The first RSV Mille (ME) was made from 1998 to 2000, the updated RSV Mille (RP) from 2001 to 2002 and the last update was made in 2003.

With a 998 cc 60-degree V-twin engine built by the Austrian company Rotax, the RSV Mille was the first large displacement motorcycle made by Aprilia that up to then had made up to 250cc engines.[3] This same engine was used unmodified in the Tuono and in slightly modified form in the SL1000 Falco.

The Mille featured a type of slipper clutch, which worked by using a vacuum on a closed throttle from the inlet manifold to give the effect of slipper clutch but only on a closed throttle.
