If you own a cagiva raptor 1000cc 2000-2005 and you’re searching for a performance exhaust upgrade that genuinely delivers, you’ve come to the right place. The slip-on performance can from Max Torque Cans is precisely what your Italian V-twin deserves — a quality aftermarket exhaust solution built with premium materials, engineered for optimal flow, and designed to complement the raw, aggressive character that makes the Raptor 1000 such a memorable machine.

Whether you’re a weekend tourer carving through country lanes or a track-day enthusiast pushing the limits, this exhaust upgrade will genuinely transform the way your bike looks, sounds, and performs on every ride.

The Cagiva Raptor 1000 is a machine with serious pedigree. Powered by the legendary Suzuki TL1000S V-twin engine, it’s a bike that commands respect on any road. However, as with many factory-specification motorcycles, the standard exhaust system leaves considerable room for improvement. That’s where Max Torque Cans steps in — with a well-crafted, purpose-built exhaust solution that fits seamlessly onto your existing OEM downpipes without any complicated modifications, custom fabrication work, or specialist tools required.

This is a straightforward upgrade that delivers professional results.

What’s Included with Your Cagiva Raptor 1000cc 2000-2005 Performance Exhaust

When you order this exhaust system for your cagiva raptor 1000cc 2000-2005, you’ll receive a comprehensive fitting kit that contains absolutely everything you need to get the job done cleanly and professionally. There’s no need to hunt around for additional hardware, source missing fixings, or make last-minute trips to a specialist supplier — it’s all included in the box, ready to fit.

  • 2 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipes — precision-formed for optimal exhaust gas flow and a perfect OEM-matched fitment that connects directly to your standard downpipes
  • 2 x Stainless Exhaust Straps — durable and corrosion-resistant, these straps are designed to hold your exhaust can firmly in position without flexing or failing
  • 2 x Exhaust Strap Rubbers — essential vibration-dampening components that protect both your exhaust can and your bike’s frame from stress and wear
  • 4 x Stainless Exhaust Clamps — heavy-duty stainless steel clamps engineered to ensure a secure, leak-free connection at every joint

Every component in this kit is manufactured from high-grade 304 stainless steel, which means you’re getting a product that will resist corrosion, handle extreme heat cycles, and maintain its appearance season after season. This isn’t a budget fitting cobbled together from generic parts — it’s a proper performance-grade solution built to last the lifetime of your motorcycle.

UK riding conditions can be brutal on exhaust systems, with road salt, moisture, and temperature extremes all taking their toll. That’s why we exclusively use materials that can stand up to the challenge.

Fitment Details for the Cagiva Raptor 1000cc 2000-2005

One of the standout features of this exhaust system is how straightforward the installation process is. The link pipes are specifically designed and manufactured to connect directly to the standard OEM downpipes on your cagiva raptor 1000cc 2000-2005. This means there’s no need for custom fabrication, no cutting of existing components, and no requirement for specialist tools beyond a standard socket set and torque wrench. If you’re comfortable with basic motorcycle maintenance, you’ll have no trouble fitting this exhaust yourself.

The CNC mandrel bending process used during manufacturing ensures that the internal bore of each link pipe remains consistent throughout every curve and angle. This is critically important for performance — crushed or kinked pipes restrict exhaust gas flow, robbing your engine of power and throttle response. With these mandrel-bent link pipes, you get smooth, unrestricted flow that helps your Cagiva Raptor’s V-twin breathe more freely and perform as it was always meant to.

According to Motorcycle News, proper exhaust flow is one of the most cost-effective performance upgrades you can make to any motorcycle, and the difference is immediately noticeable.

This exhaust has been designed to fit all models of the cagiva raptor 1000cc 2000-2005 range produced between the years 2000 and 2005 inclusive. If you’re unsure whether this is the right fit for your specific motorcycle, or if you’ve made any modifications to your bike that might affect fitment, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team — we’re always happy to help confirm compatibility before you commit to a purchase.

Installation Tips for Your Cagiva Raptor 1000cc 2000-2005 Exhaust Upgrade

While fitting this exhaust to your cagiva raptor 1000cc 2000-2005 is relatively straightforward, there are a few practical tips that will help make the process even smoother and ensure a professional finish:

  • Allow the engine to cool completely before beginning the installation. Working on a hot exhaust is dangerous and can lead to burns or damage to surrounding components.
  • Apply a small amount of copper anti-seize paste to the threads of your exhaust clamps before tightening. This will make future removal much easier and prevent seizing caused by heat cycles.
  • Do not fully tighten any clamps or fixings until everything is loosely positioned. This gives you the opportunity to adjust alignment and ensure nothing is fouling on the frame, swingarm, or bodywork before final torquing.
  • Check for leaks after your first ride by running a gloved hand (carefully, when cold) around all joints. A small amount of smoke on the first run is normal as any residual oils or compounds burn off.
  • Re-check all fixings after the first 50 miles, as heat cycles can cause initial settling of components and clamps may require a final tweak.

If you’re planning to fit this exhaust yourself, a basic mechanical knowledge of motorcycles is all that’s required. That said, if you’d prefer a professional installation or you’re not confident working with exhaust systems, any competent motorcycle workshop will be familiar with this type of fitment and should be able to complete the job quickly and easily for a reasonable labour charge.

To Make sure that you are shopping for the correct Model exhaust here is some information about this model.

The major version, which went into production first in 2000 and came out in 2006, was produced in a single series but in several versions, normal, V-Raptor (aesthetically identical to the Xtra Raptor) and “Xtra Raptor” (the equipped version of carbon parts and adjustable suspension.

In 2001 the Xtra Raptor was introduced . in 2004, a prototype called X3 Raptor was presented which never went into production. All raptors in 1000 were equipped with the engine Japanese of Suzuki (TL1000) used in Superbike for a short time. The Xtra Raptor has a plate that shows the numbering of the bike, which was produced in a limited series. The numbering had to go from 1/999 to 999/999. The Xtra Raptor also compared to the normal version had an adjustable Marzocchi fork and an adjustable Sachs mono-shock.

All the engines had liquid cooling and the braking system consisted of two disc brakes at the front (only the 125 cm³ version had a single disc at the front) and a single disc at the rear. In common with all models, regardless of the displacement, the presence of a fork with inverted stanchions (40 mm for the “small” version, 43 mm for the others) and a rear shock absorber.

Maneuverability and power are the natural qualities of this bike which integrates pure style and performance especially in the “V-Raptor” version which had 77.5 kW with only 194 kg of weight. Of the V-1000 version, unofficial sources say that around 300 V-Raptor 1000s were produced, while about 600 and not 1000s of the Xtra were produced as was thought and as was declared to the press when the motorcycle was presented.
