If you’re searching for a high-quality performance exhaust for the aprilia 1200 caponord 2014 2017, you’ve come to exactly the right place. At Max Torque Cans, we’ve designed and engineered a bolt-on solution that gives your adventure tourer a sharper note and a cleaner look — without the need for expensive modifications or professional workshop time. Whether you’re commuting, touring, or simply want your bike sounding as good as it looks, this exhaust is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for.
The Aprilia 1200 Caponord is a serious machine — a big, capable adventure bike with a twin-cylinder engine that deserves a can to match its character. Our exhaust is built to complement that engine perfectly, delivering improved flow and a satisfying exhaust note that makes every ride that little bit more rewarding. We’ve thought carefully about fitment, quality, and ease of installation so that you can spend less time in the garage and more time on the road.
Why Choose Our Exhaust for the Aprilia 1200 Caponord 2014 2017?
We know that a lot of riders are put off upgrading their exhaust because they assume it means wrestling with their downpipes — cutting, welding, or paying a specialist to modify the existing setup. That’s a hassle nobody needs, and frankly, it’s an expense that shouldn’t be necessary. That’s why we’ve engineered our exhaust for the aprilia 1200 caponord 2014 2017 with a stainless mounting strap system that clamps directly onto your existing downpipes. No cutting. No welding. No major modifications whatsoever.
The result is a fast, clean installation that any reasonably handy rider can complete at home with basic tools. The link pipe fits neatly at the inlet end using spring hook attachments, giving you a secure and rattle-free connection that holds firm even on long motorway runs or rough off-road tracks. It’s the kind of thoughtful engineering detail that we’re proud of here at Max Torque Cans.
Beyond fitment convenience, you’re also getting a product built from premium-grade materials. The stainless steel construction means your exhaust will resist corrosion season after season, even through British winters where salt and moisture can destroy lesser metalwork in a matter of months.
What’s Included with the Aprilia 1200 Caponord 2014 2017 Exhaust?
Every exhaust we supply for the aprilia 1200 caponord 2014 2017 comes complete with everything you need to get fitted and back on the road quickly. Here’s exactly what you’ll find in the box:
- Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — precision-formed for optimal gas flow and a perfect OEM-style fit to your Caponord’s downpipes
- Stainless Exhaust Strap — heavy-duty and corrosion-resistant, designed to hold the can securely in place without damaging your existing pipework
- Exhaust Strap Rubber — a protective rubber lining that cushions the strap, prevents vibration, and protects both the strap and your downpipes from wear over time
The mandrel-bent link pipe is a particularly important detail. Unlike crush-bent pipes that can reduce internal diameter at the bend and restrict gas flow, mandrel bending maintains a consistent bore throughout, which means exhaust gases exit more efficiently. For a big twin like the Caponord’s 1200cc engine, that smooth flow matters — and you may well notice an improvement in throttle response and mid-range pull as a result.
Fitment and Installation Notes for the Aprilia 1200 Caponord 2014 2017
This exhaust has been specifically designed and tested to fit the aprilia 1200 caponord 2014 2017. It is not a universal fit item — it’s a model-specific product built to match the geometry and pipe diameter of your Caponord’s existing exhaust setup. This precision engineering is what makes the installation so straightforward.
The link pipe connects at the inlet end using spring hook attachments, which are a tried-and-tested fitment method that provides a tight, leak-free seal whilst also allowing for a small degree of flex — useful for absorbing engine vibration and preventing fatigue cracking over time. If you’ve fitted exhausts before, you’ll find this process very familiar. If this is your first time, the design is intuitive enough that you’ll have no trouble following along.
We’d always recommend fitting the exhaust on a cold bike and giving all fixings a final check after your first short ride, once everything has seated properly with the heat cycle. If you’d like to see the product up close before purchasing, we’ve put together a Flickr album with detailed photos of the exhaust and fitment process — well worth a look.
We’ve also produced a full video guide showing the installation process on a similar Aprilia model, which you can find embedded on this page. Many customers tell us it makes the whole job even more straightforward, so do take a few minutes to watch it through before you start.

Absolutely not. The whole point of our design is to eliminate the need for downpipe modifications. The mounting strap system means you simply clamp onto your existing pipework — no cutting, no welding, and no workshop visits required.
What material is the link pipe made from?
The link pipe is manufactured from 304-grade stainless steel using a CNC mandrel bending process. Grade 304 stainless is an excellent choice for exhaust applications, offering strong corrosion resistance and durability across a wide temperature range — exactly what you need for a bike that’s ridden year-round.

To Make sure that you are shopping for the correct Model exhaust here is some information about this model.
The Aprilia RSV Mille was a sport motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 1998 to 2003. It was offered in three versions, RSV Mille, RSV Mille R, and RSV Mille SP.
The first RSV Mille (ME) was made from 1998 to 2000, the updated RSV Mille (RP) from 2001 to 2002 and the last update was made in 2003.
With a 998 cc 60-degree V-twin engine built by the Austrian company Rotax, the RSV Mille was the first large displacement motorcycle made by Aprilia that up to then had made up to 250cc engines.[3] This same engine was used unmodified in the Tuono and in slightly modified form in the SL1000 Falco.
The Mille featured a type of slipper clutch, which worked by using a vacuum on a closed throttle from the inlet manifold to give the effect of slipper clutch but only on a closed throttle.
