Product Features — Honda CB1000R SC60 08- 2016 Exhaust System

This exhaust has been designed with both practicality and performance firmly in mind. At 380mm in length, it meets the shortest permissible measurement for road-legal use here in the UK, giving you a compact, tail-tidy silhouette without falling foul of regulations.

  • Road Legal Option: Comes with full BSAU markings and a road-legal baffle (Decibel Killer) fitted as standard. Stay compliant without sacrificing character.
  • Race Option: All race cans are supplied WITHOUT a baffle — for track days, closed-road events, or anywhere you want the full, unrestricted soundtrack of that CB1000R four-cylinder engine.
  • 380mm Length: The shortest length approved for road-legal use — aggressive stance, maximum ground clearance.
  • Stainless Steel Construction: Built to withstand the British weather, road salt, and the demands of regular high-performance riding.
  • Direct OEM Fit: Designed to connect directly to your standard Honda downpipes — no modifications required.
  • Optional Stainless Heat Shield: Available separately for those who want full protection and a finished, professional look.

The honda cb1000r sc60 08- 2016 exhaust package includes everything required for a clean, straightforward installation:

  • 1 x Exhaust Silencer
  • 1 x Link Pipe
  • 2 x Connecting Clamps
  • 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap
  • 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber

Note: The Stainless Heat Shield is available as an optional extra — see the related product listing below for details.

Fitment & Compatibility — Honda CB1000R SC60 08- 2016

This exhaust is specifically designed and tested for the honda cb1000r sc60 08- 2016 model range. If your CB1000R falls within those production years, this system will fit — no adapter plates, no custom brackets, no welding. The link pipe and connecting clamps align precisely with Honda’s OEM downpipe dimensions, ensuring a secure, rattle-free connection every time.

The SC60 generation of the CB1000R is one of Honda’s most celebrated naked bikes — a machine that blends sharp, aggressive styling with a 998cc inline-four engine capable of delivering thrilling performance across all rev ranges. The stock exhaust, while functional, is heavy and visually uninspiring. Our aftermarket system sheds valuable weight from the rear of the bike, improving the power-to-weight ratio and shifting the visual balance to give the CB1000R the menacing profile it deserves.

If you’re unsure whether this exhaust fits your specific model year, feel free to get in touch with our team before ordering. We’re riders ourselves, and we’re always happy to confirm compatibility before you commit.

Installation Notes for the Honda CB1000R SC60 08- 2016

Fitting the honda cb1000r sc60 08- 2016 exhaust is a job most competent home mechanics can tackle with basic tools. Here’s a quick overview of what’s involved:

  • Step 1: Allow the original exhaust system to cool fully before you begin. Safety first.
  • Step 2: Remove the OEM silencer and any mid-pipe if present, retaining your original hardware as a backup.
  • Step 3: Offer up the new link pipe to the existing Honda downpipes. The fit should be snug and precise.
  • Step 4: Attach the supplied connecting clamps — do not fully tighten at this stage.
  • Step 5: Fit the exhaust strap and rubber to the mounting point on the subframe or pillion footrest hanger.
  • Step 6: Slide the silencer onto the link pipe, align everything correctly, and tighten all clamps and fasteners to the manufacturer’s torque settings.
  • Step 7: Start the engine, allow it to reach operating temperature, and re-check all connections once warm.

We recommend using copper anti-seize paste on all threaded connections for ease of future removal. The entire process typically takes between 30 and 60 minutes for a first-time fitting. Want to see it in action? Check out our YouTube videos linked on this page for a visual walkthrough.

The CB1300 is a 1,284 cc (78.4 cu in) Honda motorcycle released in 1998 as a successor to the CB1000. Its engine, with minor modifications, came from the Honda X4, released in the previous year. In 2003, the CB1300 received a slightly different engine which lacked cooling fins.

The CB1300 has never been sold by authorized dealers in the United States or Canada. Gray market importers brought in small numbers.

Specifically, two changes detailed below:

Road Legal Exhausts: Our road legal exhausts will have the BSAU stamped markings and be crafted with non-removable baffles, aligning seamlessly with the standards set by ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers). These baffles are an integral part of our design to ensure that your motorcycle exhaust complies with road regulations, providing you with a legal and enjoyable riding experience.

Clearly marked with type approval markings “Not for Road Use” etched into the side, these exhausts are specifically designed for racing applications. This distinction is in line with DVSA policy, ensuring that our race exhausts are suitable for track use, meeting the highest performance standards without compromising on safety.
