It’s the kind of bike that rewards its rider, and fitting a quality aftermarket exhaust is one of the most satisfying upgrades you can make to keep it feeling sharp and sounding spectacular.

Why Choose This Exhaust for Your Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit 1996-1999?

This exhaust has been purpose-built to suit the suzuki gsf1200 bandit 1996-1999, meaning there’s no guesswork involved and no fiddly modifications required. It’s designed to bolt directly onto the standard OEM downpipes, making it a straightforward swap that even a competent home mechanic can tackle with confidence. You won’t need to visit a specialist or invest in expensive bespoke fabrication — just unbolt the old can, fit the new one, and enjoy the results.

Here’s what’s included in the box with every unit:

  • 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — robust, corrosion-resistant, and built to last through British weather and beyond
  • 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — provides a secure, vibration-dampening mount to keep everything in place on the road
  • A 3-bolt fitting for a solid, rattle-free connection to your stock downpipes

Everything you need for a clean, professional installation is included. There’s no hunting around for additional hardware or heading back to a parts supplier — it’s a complete kit ready to go straight onto your Bandit.

Key Features of the Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit 1996-1999 Performance Can

  • Enhanced Sound: The Bandit’s inline-four sounds good from the factory — but this can brings out a deeper, more purposeful note that suits the bike’s character perfectly.
  • British Made: Produced in the UK by Max Torque Cans, with quality control you can trust and a level of craftsmanship that mass-produced alternatives simply can’t match.

Fitment Details for the Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit 1996-1999

Fitment is one of the most important factors when choosing an aftermarket can, and this product has been developed with that in mind. The suzuki gsf1200 bandit 1996-1999 uses a standard OEM downpipe configuration, and this silencer has been engineered to match it precisely. The 3-bolt connection provides a solid, leak-free join that won’t loosen over time.

Installation is straightforward and typically takes less than an hour for someone with basic mechanical skills and the right tools. Here’s a brief overview of what to expect:

  • Remove the existing standard silencer by unbolting it from the downpipe flange and releasing the mounting strap
  • Clean the mating surfaces on the downpipe to ensure a good seal
  • Offer up the new can and align the 3-bolt flange carefully
  • Fit the included stainless exhaust strap and rubber, positioning the silencer correctly before tightening
  • Torque all bolts progressively and evenly to avoid warping the flange
  • Run the engine and check for any leaks before heading out on the road

As always, if you’re not fully confident performing this work yourself, we’d recommend having a trusted local mechanic carry out the installation. It’s a simple job for any experienced workshop.
