If you’re searching for a high-quality, purpose-built performance exhaust for your Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012, you’ve landed in exactly the right place. At Max Torque Cans, we specialise in crafting exhausts that deliver real-world results — better sound, improved performance, and a finish that does justice to one of Triumph’s most capable adventure bikes. Whether you’re commuting across the city or tackling long-distance touring routes, upgrading your exhaust is one of the most satisfying modifications you can make to the Tiger 1050.
Why Upgrade the Exhaust on Your Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012?
The standard OEM exhaust fitted to the Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012 does the job, but it was designed with compromise in mind — balancing emissions regulations, weight restrictions, and cost constraints. When you swap it out for a Max Torque Cans performance exhaust, you’re removing those compromises and letting the Tiger’s triple-cylinder engine breathe and sing the way it was always meant to.
Riders who upgrade consistently report a noticeably improved throttle response, a richer exhaust note, and in many cases a reduction in weight over the stock unit. The Triumph 1050 Tiger triple has always been praised for its character — a proper performance exhaust simply amplifies everything that makes it special.
What’s Included with the Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012 Exhaust Kit
We believe in giving you everything you need to complete the job cleanly and confidently. This exhaust kit for the Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012 includes the following components as standard:
- 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — precision-engineered for optimal gas flow and a factory-quality finish
- 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — robust and built to last, holding your can securely in place
- 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — reduces vibration transfer and protects surrounding components from heat and abrasion
Every component in this kit has been selected and manufactured to work together as a complete solution. There’s no hunting around for additional parts — everything you need to fit this performance exhaust is included in the box.
Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — Built for the Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012
The heart of this kit is the link pipe, and it’s where the engineering really shines. Manufactured from high-grade Stainless 304 steel, this pipe is CNC mandrel bent — a process that maintains a perfectly consistent internal diameter throughout every curve and bend. Unlike cheaper crush-bent alternatives, a mandrel bent pipe eliminates the internal restrictions that rob your engine of power and efficiency.
For the Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012, this means improved exhaust scavenging, better mid-range torque delivery, and a more linear power curve. It’s a meaningful upgrade that you’ll feel every time you open the throttle. The stainless steel construction also means you’re getting a component that will resist corrosion and stand up to the British weather for years to come.
Fitment Information for the Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012
One of the key advantages of this exhaust kit is just how straightforward the installation is. This performance exhaust has been designed to fit directly to the standard OEM downpipes on the Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012, with no cutting, welding, or modification required. It’s a genuine bolt-on upgrade in every sense of the phrase.
This means that even riders with modest mechanical experience can tackle the job at home with basic hand tools. If you’ve ever swapped a rear tyre or adjusted your chain, you’ll find this installation well within your capabilities. Of course, if you’d prefer to have the work carried out by a professional workshop, this exhaust is equally easy for a mechanic to fit quickly and cleanly.
Installation Notes for the Triumph 1050 Tiger 2006-2012 Exhaust Kit
Before you begin the installation, here are a few practical tips to help the job go smoothly:
- Allow the engine to cool fully before you begin. Working on a hot exhaust is uncomfortable and potentially dangerous.
- Apply copper grease or anti-seize compound to all threads and connection points. This makes future removal far easier, particularly important on a bike that sees all-weather use.
- Check all fittings are secure before riding, and re-check after the first few heat cycles. This is standard practice with any new exhaust fitment.
- Inspect the OEM downpipes for condition before fitting. If they show signs of corrosion or damage, it’s a sensible time to address that whilst everything is apart.
- Torque bolts to manufacturer specification — over-tightening can strip threads, particularly in the alloy casings common on modern Triumph engines.

Our commitment to adhering to regulations is evident in our product design and labelling, and hence with new updates from ACEM, DVSA and DfT, we are ensuring our exhaust systems are compliant with new and upcoming legislation and regulations. Specifically, two changes detailed below:
Road Legal Exhausts: Our road legal exhausts will have the BSAU stamped markings and be crafted with non-removable baffles, aligning seamlessly with the standards set by ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers). These baffles are an integral part of our design to ensure that your motorcycle exhaust complies with road regulations, providing you with a legal and enjoyable riding experience.
Race Exhausts and Silencers: For those seeking an exhilarating experience on the track, our race exhausts are engineered to deliver optimal performance. Clearly marked with type approval markings “Not for Road Use” etched into the side, these exhausts are specifically designed for racing applications. This distinction is in line with DVSA policy, ensuring that our race exhausts are suitable for track use, meeting the highest performance standards without compromising on safety.
