The ktm 390 duke 2019- performance exhaust from Max Torque Cans is the upgrade your naked street fighter has been crying out for — delivering a sharper exhaust note, a cleaner visual presence, and that unmistakable edge that separates a stock bike from something genuinely special. Whether you’re carving up weekend B-roads, threading through weekday commuter traffic, or simply enjoying the visceral thrill of a revving single-cylinder engine, fitting a quality aftermarket can to your KTM 390 Duke transforms the entire riding experience from the moment you thumb the starter.
At Max Torque Cans, we’ve been building and supplying performance exhausts for motorcycles across the UK for years. We know what riders want: a product that fits properly, looks the part, sounds incredible, and won’t let you down. This exhaust for the KTM 390 Duke has been designed and built with exactly that philosophy in mind — no compromise, no cutting corners, and absolutely no cheap materials or sloppy manufacturing shortcuts.
What’s Included with Your KTM 390 Duke 2019- Exhaust Kit
Every kit is supplied complete and ready to bolt on. You won’t need to hunt around for additional parts or make do with a half-finished setup that leaves you scratching your head come installation day. Here’s exactly what arrives with your order:
- 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — precision-formed for a perfect, flow-optimised fit that maintains full internal diameter throughout every curve
- 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — heavy-duty stainless construction for lasting security and vibration resistance under all riding conditions
- 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — cushions the silencer mounting point and protects the finish of your new can from rattles and wear
The link pipe is the heart of the fitment kit. Manufactured from Grade 304 Stainless Steel and shaped using CNC mandrel bending techniques, it retains full internal diameter throughout every curve — meaning exhaust gases flow freely without restriction or turbulence. Compared to a crushed or poorly formed bend, mandrel bending makes a real, measurable difference to back pressure and ultimately to how your engine breathes and performs.
It’s not just marketing jargon; it’s genuine engineering that translates into tangible results on the road.
The stainless exhaust strap and rubber insert complete the package, giving you a secure, rattle-free mounting solution that’s built to handle the heat and vibration produced by a hard-ridden single-cylinder engine. These aren’t afterthoughts or throwaway accessories — they’re components designed to last as long as the can itself, ensuring your investment stays secure and looking sharp mile after mile.
Fitment Details and Compatibility for the KTM 390 Duke 2019-
This exhaust is engineered to fit the ktm 390 duke 2019- directly onto the standard OEM downpipes without modification. There’s no need to alter your existing headers, source additional adaptors, or make compromises that leave you with an untidy installation. The link pipe slots cleanly into place, making this a genuinely straightforward installation for any competent home mechanic with basic tools and a bit of patience.
Fitment is clean, precise, and designed to sit well within the existing bodywork envelope of the KTM 390 Duke — so you get a tidy, professional-looking result without any fussy gap-filling or bracket-bodging. The quality of the stainless brasswork speaks for itself once it’s mounted up and catching the light under the bike, and the alignment is spot-on when installed correctly. This is the sort of fitment quality you’d expect from a genuine OEM+ upgrade rather than a budget aftermarket bodge job.
Installation Notes for Your KTM 390 Duke 2019- Performance Can
Before fitting your new performance exhaust, allow the bike to cool completely. Working on a hot exhaust is both dangerous and likely to result in seized fasteners, burnt fingers, and a thoroughly unpleasant afternoon. Once the bike is cold, remove the existing silencer and link pipe from the OEM downpipe, taking care not to damage the header seal or gasket — you may be able to reuse it depending on condition, or you may wish to fit a fresh one for peace of mind.
Slide the new mandrel-bent link pipe into position on the OEM downpipe and loosely attach the exhaust strap and rubber around the silencer mounting point. Before tightening anything fully, take a moment to check alignment and clearance — particularly around the rear wheel, swingarm, and any heat-sensitive wiring or brake lines.
The KTM 390 Duke is a compact bike, and while our exhaust is designed to fit within the standard envelope, it’s always worth a visual check before committing to final torque settings.
Once you’re happy with the position, torque everything up to a firm, secure finish. Start the engine and check for leaks at the join between the link pipe and the downpipe. A small amount of heat discolouration on the stainless over the first few rides is completely normal and actually adds character — it’s a natural byproduct of high-quality stainless steel doing its job under sustained heat.
As with any aftermarket silencer, we’d always recommend checking whether a fuelling remap or fuel controller is advisable for your specific setup. Fitting a freer-flowing can to the ktm 390 duke 2019- can alter the air-fuel ratio slightly, and optimising the fuelling will ensure you get the maximum performance benefit alongside the improved sound.
Many riders find that a simple ECU flash or piggyback fuel module unlocks the full potential of their new exhaust, and the investment is often well worth it for the sharper throttle response and smoother power delivery. Why Choose a Max Torque Cans Exhaust for Your KTM 390 Duke 2019-
There are plenty of cheap cans on the market. We’re not in that game. Every exhaust we supply is built to a standard we’d be happy to fit to our own bikes, and the ktm 390 duke 2019- kit is no different. The Grade 304 stainless construction resists corrosion, handles sustained high temperatures without warping or discolouring excessively, and maintains its appearance season after season — even on bikes used year-round in typical British weather, complete with salt-laden winter roads and unpredictable downpours.
Beyond the materials, it’s the craftsmanship that sets our products apart. CNC mandrel bending isn’t just a marketing term — it’s a manufacturing method that preserves flow characteristics, maintains consistent wall thickness, and produces a result that looks as impressive as it performs. When you combine that with a properly matched link pipe, securely mounted with quality hardware, you end up with a setup that feels factory-finished rather than bolted-on as an afterthought.
We’re proud of what we make, and we back that up with real photography and video footage so you can see exactly what you’re buying before it arrives. Check out the images on our Flickr album to see the finish quality up close, and watch the YouTube video to hear the exhaust note for yourself — because no written description fully captures what a well-matched can sounds like on a revving single-cylinder engine at full chat.
KTM 390 Duke 2019- Exhaust Frequently Asked Questions
Will this exhaust fit my KTM 390 Duke 2019 model specifically?
Yes — this kit is designed for the ktm 390 duke 2019- and is compatible with the standard OEM downpipes fitted to that model year and beyond, including all subsequent updates and revisions.
Do I need to buy anything else to complete the fit?
No additional parts are required. The kit includes the link pipe, exhaust strap, and rubber mount — everything needed for a complete installation onto the OEM headers.
Will the stainless steel discolour over time?
Some heat bluing is normal on stainless exhausts, particularly around the link pipe close to the engine. This is a natural characteristic of stainless steel under heat and does not indicate a quality issue — many riders actually prefer the authentic, used look it develops.
Does fitting this exhaust affect my bike’s warranty?
Modifying your motorcycle with an aftermarket silencer may affect your manufacturer’s warranty. We recommend checking with your dealer if your bike is still under warranty before fitting any performance parts.
Can I see more photos or hear it before I buy?
Absolutely — visit our Flickr album for detailed imagery and our YouTube channel to hear the exhaust note on the bike in action.
