Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport 2013-2020

Price range: £ 137.60 through £ 328.52

The triumph tiger 1050 sport 2013-2020 represents one of Triumph’s most accomplished adventure-touring motorcycles, blending razor-sharp handling with genuine real-world practicality — and it deserves an exhaust system that matches its character. At Max Torque Cans, we’ve developed a performance exhaust package specifically engineered for this remarkable machine, delivering improved throttle response, a deeper and more purposeful exhaust note, and a clean, aggressive look that transforms the rear end of the bike.

Whether you’re carving up A-roads, tackling spirited weekend runs through the Peak District, or heading out on a longer European tour, this exhaust upgrade is one of the most rewarding modifications you can make to your Tiger.

Our performance exhaust package is built from high-quality materials and designed to bolt straight onto your existing OEM downpipes with zero fuss. We’ve done the hard work so you don’t have to — no cutting, no custom fabrication, and no specialist tools required. This is a genuine bolt-on upgrade that any competent home mechanic can fit in an afternoon with a basic set of spanners and a torque wrench.

What’s Included in the Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport 2013-2020 Exhaust Package

Every kit we supply for the triumph tiger 1050 sport 2013-2020 comes complete with everything you need for a clean, secure installation. There’s no need to source additional hardware or make last-minute trips to your local motor factors. Here’s exactly what you’ll receive:

  • 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — Precision-formed from premium-grade 304 stainless steel, our link pipe is mandrel bent to maintain consistent bore diameter throughout every curve. This is critical for preserving exhaust flow and ensuring maximum performance gains. The smooth internal surface reduces turbulence and backpressure, helping your Tiger breathe more freely at all points in the rev range.
  • 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — A heavy-duty stainless strap keeps your can securely in place, even under the vibration and thermal cycles of hard riding. It’s built to last and won’t corrode or degrade over time, even in the harsh British climate.
  • 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — The rubber isolator cushions the mounting point, absorbing vibration and protecting the strap from metal fatigue. It also helps prevent rattles and keeps everything feeling solid and refined.

This comprehensive kit means you’ll have everything to hand from the moment your package arrives. We believe in making the upgrade process as straightforward as possible for owners, and that starts with supplying a complete, well-thought-out kit with all the necessary components.

Why Upgrade the Exhaust on Your Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport 2013-2020?

The standard OEM can on the triumph tiger 1050 sport 2013-2020 is functional, but it’s designed with noise regulations and cost constraints in mind rather than outright performance. Swapping it out for a quality aftermarket silencer unlocks a noticeable improvement across the board. The 1050cc three-cylinder engine is a wonderfully characterful unit with a distinctive growl, and a properly matched performance exhaust lets that character sing.

You’ll notice improved mid-range pull, a more responsive throttle, and a sound that genuinely reflects the performance potential sitting beneath you.

Beyond the performance gains, there’s the aesthetic transformation to consider. The standard exhaust is a bulky, understated unit that doesn’t do justice to the bike’s sporting credentials. A well-chosen aftermarket can slims down the rear end, reduces unsprung weight, and gives the bike a far more purposeful, competition-inspired appearance. It’s an upgrade that improves the machine in almost every meaningful way — performance, sound, weight, and visual impact.

Our stainless 304 construction also means this exhaust is built to handle the British climate with ease. Stainless steel resists corrosion far more effectively than mild steel alternatives, so even after years of wet commutes, salty winter roads, and damp touring across Scotland or Wales, your can will still look and perform as it should. For riders who cover serious miles in all weathers, that durability is genuinely important and represents excellent long-term value.

Fitment Details for the Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport 2013-2020

This exhaust has been developed to fit the triumph tiger 1050 sport 2013-2020 directly onto the standard OEM downpipes. There is no requirement to modify your existing headers, and no specialist exhaust fabrication work is needed. The link pipe is shaped and sized to match the factory fitment points precisely, ensuring a snug, leak-free connection every time you install it.

The link pipe uses CNC mandrel bending to replicate the exact routing of the original pipe whilst improving on its internal geometry for better flow characteristics. This means the can sits in the correct position relative to the frame and rear subframe, with no fouling on bodywork, luggage points, or the side stand. For those of you running panniers or a tail pack — common on adventure-touring machines — this is particularly reassuring, as the fitment is clean and unobtrusive.

We always recommend fitting with the engine cold and using copper-based anti-seize paste on all threaded connections. This makes future removal far easier and helps prevent the galling that can occur on stainless steel fixings. Allow the exhaust to heat cycle a couple of times before checking all fixings for tightness — this is standard good practice with any aftermarket exhaust installation.

Installation Tips for the Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport 2013-2020

Installing this exhaust on the triumph tiger 1050 sport 2013-2020 is a straightforward job that most riders can manage at home with a basic toolkit. Here’s a quick overview of the process:

  • Allow the engine to cool fully before beginning any work — hot exhausts can cause serious burns.
  • Remove the OEM can and link pipe carefully, keeping the original gaskets safe in case they are reusable.
  • Offer up the new stainless link pipe, checking the routing is correct and that nothing is fouling on bodywork or frame components.
  • Fit the stainless exhaust strap with the rubber isolator in place, ensuring it’s positioned correctly before torquing down to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Start all fixings by hand before applying final torque — this prevents cross-threading and ensures proper alignment.
  • Run the engine for a short heat cycle, then re-check all fixings once cooled to ensure everything has bedded in properly.

If you’re unsure at any stage, we’re always happy to answer questions via our social channels or directly through the shop. We want every customer to feel confident completing their installation.

Frequently Asked Questions — Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport 2013-2020

Will this exhaust fit all years of the triumph tiger 1050 sport 2013-2020?
Yes. This kit is designed to cover the full production run from 2013 through to 2020. The downpipe and mounting configurations remained consistent throughout this period, so a single kit fits all variants without modification.

Do I need a remap after fitting this exhaust?
In many cases, the ECU will adapt over time, particularly if you’re retaining the original lambda sensors. However, for best results and to fully exploit the improved flow characteristics, a remap or fuel controller is always worth considering. We’d recommend speaking to a local Triumph specialist for advice specific to your setup.

Is this exhaust road legal?
Our cans are designed as performance upgrades intended for off-road and track use. It is the responsibility of the individual rider to ensure their motorcycle meets all relevant noise and emissions regulations for road use in their jurisdiction. Please check current UK regulations before riding on public roads.

What finish does the link pipe have?
The link pipe is finished in natural 304 stainless steel. With normal use, this develops a light heat patina over time that many riders find appealing. It can be polished if you prefer a brighter finish, and regular cleaning will keep it looking its best for years to come.

If you ride a different Triumph model, we also stock exhausts for a wide range of other bikes in the Triumph range. Take a look at our Triumph Tiger 1200 Explorer exhaust page, or check out our options for the Triumph Tiger 900 Adventure 2020 – 2023 if you’re shopping for a newer machine.
