Designed and manufactured to deliver an aggressive tone, improved flow, and a clean, purposeful look, this silencer is built with the serious rider in mind. Whether you’re breathing new life into a classic sports tourer or simply replacing a tired, corroded original, Max Torque Cans has you covered with a product that’s made to last and built to perform.

Product Features — Built for the Suzuki RF900 1994-1999

The suzuki rf900 1994-1999 exhaust from Max Torque Cans is constructed from high-grade stainless steel, ensuring long-term resistance to corrosion, heat fatigue, and the relentless British weather. Unlike budget alternatives that rust and discolour within a season, this can is built to retain its finish and structural integrity mile after mile. The robust stainless construction also means you’re getting a silencer that reduces weight compared to the heavy, ageing OEM unit, contributing to a slightly sharper, more responsive ride feel.

Every suzuki rf900 1994-1999 exhaust in this range is fitted with a 3-bolt mounting arrangement, ensuring a solid, rattle-free connection to your downpipes. The package includes everything you need straight out of the box:

  • 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — provides firm, secure support to prevent movement under hard acceleration
  • 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — acts as a buffer to absorb vibration and protect the silencer finish from chafing

The result is a tidy, professional-looking installation that feels factory-solid once fitted. The can itself delivers a deep, throaty exhaust note that suits the RF900’s character brilliantly — muscular without being antisocial, and genuinely satisfying on a long open-road blast.

Fitment Guide for the Suzuki RF900 1994-1999

This silencer is designed to bolt directly onto the standard OEM downpipes of the suzuki rf900 1994-1999, meaning there is absolutely no fabrication, modification, or specialist tooling required. The fitment is a direct, like-for-like replacement for the factory-fitted unit. The 3-bolt connection point aligns perfectly with the downpipe collector on all RF900 models produced between 1994 and 1999, giving you confidence that this is the right part for your bike.

It is worth noting that the RF900 was offered across a production run spanning five model years, and this exhaust covers the full range from the earliest 1994 examples right through to the final 1999 models. Whether your bike is a mid-nineties survivor or a later, slightly revised example, this can will fit without compromise.

Installation Notes — Fitting Your Suzuki RF900 1994-1999 Exhaust

Fitting the suzuki rf900 1994-1999 silencer is a straightforward job that most competent home mechanics can comfortably tackle in under an hour. Here are a few practical tips to ensure a clean, secure installation:

  • Remove the old silencer carefully — if the original bolts are seized, apply penetrating oil the night before and allow it to work into the threads. Do not force corroded fasteners or you risk damaging the downpipe flange.
  • Clean the downpipe collector flange — remove any old gasket material, carbon deposits, or surface rust before fitting the new unit. A clean mating surface prevents exhaust leaks and ensures a proper seal.
  • Fit the exhaust strap rubber first — slide the rubber buffer onto the mounting peg or bracket before attaching the stainless strap. This prevents metal-on-metal contact and reduces vibration transfer.
  • Torque the 3 bolts evenly — work in a cross pattern and tighten gradually to avoid distorting the flange or cracking the collector joint.
  • Run the engine and check for leaks — once fitted, start the bike and listen for any hissing from the joint. A brief heat cycle will also help the components settle into their final position.

If you’re unsure about any aspect of the installation, a friendly local bike workshop will have the suzuki rf900 1994-1999 silencer fitted and ready in no time at all.

Frequently Asked Questions — Suzuki RF900 1994-1999 Exhaust

Will this exhaust fit all RF900 models from 1994 to 1999?

Yes. This silencer is designed to cover the full production run of the suzuki rf900 1994-1999, fitting all variants produced during those model years. It connects directly to the standard OEM downpipes with no modification required.

Does the exhaust come with all the fittings I need?

Absolutely. The suzuki rf900 1994-1999 exhaust package includes one stainless exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber, along with the 3-bolt connection flange. You should not need to purchase any additional hardware for a standard fitment installation.

What material is the silencer made from?

The can is manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, chosen for its excellent heat resistance, durability, and resistance to corrosion. This makes it a significant upgrade over an original ageing OEM silencer, particularly on a bike of this age.

Will the exhaust change the sound of my RF900?

Yes — the suzuki rf900 1994-1999 silencer produces a noticeably deeper, more characterful exhaust note compared to the muted tone of an old, baffled OEM unit. It’s an enhanced sound that complements the bike’s sporting character without being excessively loud or anti-social for everyday riding.

Can I see this exhaust fitted to an RF900 before I buy?

Yes. We have real-world installation photos available on our Flickr album and a full video on our YouTube channel so you can see and hear the suzuki rf900 1994-1999 exhaust in action before you make your decision. Links to both can be found on this product page.
