Fitment Guide for the WK 125RR 2012-
Fitting the performance can to your wk 125rr 2012- is a job most competent home mechanics can handle in under an hour. Because this is a slip-on design, it attaches at the link pipe junction, meaning your existing downpipe stays completely intact. Here’s a general overview of what to expect during the fitting process:
- Allow the existing exhaust to cool completely before starting any work.
- Remove the stock silencer by undoing the clamp or bracket at the link pipe junction and the rear mounting point.
- Slide the new slip-on can into position, aligning it correctly with the link pipe.
- Attach the included stainless exhaust strap, slipping the rubber between the strap and the can to prevent vibration and wear.
- Tighten all fixings securely but avoid over-torquing, as this can stress the components.
- Start the bike and check for any exhaust leaks at the join before heading out for a test ride.
The stainless exhaust strap and rubber included in the kit are designed specifically to work with this can, ensuring a secure and rattle-free fit on your wk 125rr 2012-. If you’re ever unsure during the fitting process, we recommend consulting a qualified mechanic or reaching out to the Max Torque Cans team directly.
Why a Slip-On Can is the Smart Choice for the WK 125RR 2012-
A slip-on performance can is one of the most popular and cost-effective upgrades available for any 125cc bike, and the wk 125rr 2012- is no exception. Unlike a full replacement exhaust, a slip-on keeps the existing downpipe in place, which reduces cost, complexity, and fitting time considerably. You still get the benefit of an improved tone, reduced weight compared to the factory silencer in many cases, and a noticeably sportier appearance at the rear of the bike.
For many riders of the wk 125rr 2012-, the exhaust note is one of the first things they want to improve. The stock can tends to produce a muffled, uninspiring tone that doesn’t quite match the sporty looks of the bike. Swapping it out for this performance can gives your 125RR the voice it deserves — a deeper, more purposeful sound that turns heads without being antisocially loud.
