If you own a triumph sprint rs 1999-2004, you already know what a remarkable machine it is—a British-built sports-tourer that blends sharp handling, long-distance comfort, and the unmistakable character of Triumph’s three-cylinder engine. Upgrading to a quality aftermarket exhaust from Max Torque Cans is one of the most rewarding modifications you can make, delivering improved performance, a richer exhaust note, and a visual transformation that brings this iconic motorcycle into the modern era.
Our purpose-built exhaust system for the Triumph Sprint RS 1999-2004 has been engineered specifically for this model range, ensuring perfect fitment, reliable performance, and a finish that complements the bike’s timeless design.
Why Upgrade Your Triumph Sprint RS 1999-2004 Exhaust?
The standard factory exhaust fitted to the triumph sprint rs 1999-2004 was engineered to meet strict emissions and noise regulations, often at the expense of outright performance and aesthetics. While it does a perfectly serviceable job, the OEM system is heavy, restrictive, and prone to corrosion—especially on bikes that have spent two decades on British roads exposed to salt, moisture, and the rigours of year-round riding.
Over time, the standard silencer can lose its lustre, develop surface rust, and even crack internally, leading to a loss of back pressure and an unpleasant rattling sound.
By replacing your tired factory exhaust with a Max Torque Cans system, you’re investing in a product built from high-grade stainless steel, designed to resist corrosion and engineered for optimal gas flow. The result is a noticeable improvement in throttle response, a reduction in overall weight, and a deep, characterful exhaust note that does justice to the Sprint RS’s distinctive three-cylinder engine.
Whether you’re carving through Welsh mountain passes or cruising the M1 on a continental tour, the difference is immediate and deeply satisfying.
What’s Included in the Triumph Sprint RS 1999-2004 Exhaust Kit
We believe in providing a complete, ready-to-fit solution, which is why every Max Torque Cans exhaust kit for the triumph sprint rs 1999-2004 includes everything you need for a straightforward installation. Here’s what you’ll receive:
- 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — precision-formed using mandrel bending techniques to maintain a consistent internal diameter throughout every curve, ensuring maximum gas flow and minimal turbulence for optimal performance.
- 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — a robust, corrosion-resistant mounting strap designed to keep your exhaust can securely in place under all riding conditions, from spirited back-road blasts to sustained motorway cruising.
- 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — a high-quality rubber buffer that cushions the exhaust against vibration, protecting both the can and your bike’s bodywork from wear and stress over time.
Every component in this kit has been carefully selected for durability and longevity. The use of 304-grade stainless steel throughout means you’re getting a product that will withstand the heat cycles, road salt, and unpredictable British weather that can quickly degrade inferior materials. This is a performance exhaust built to last as long as your Sprint RS itself.
Precision Fitment for the Triumph Sprint RS 1999-2004
One of the standout advantages of choosing a Max Torque Cans exhaust for your triumph sprint rs 1999-2004 is the precision of the fitment. The link pipe has been specifically manufactured to match the geometry of the Sprint RS downpipes for the 1999 through to 2004 model years. This isn’t a universal-fit system bodged into place—it’s a proper, model-specific solution that sits cleanly and securely from the moment you mount it.
The Triumph Sprint RS uses a three-cylinder engine layout, and the exhaust routing on these bikes requires careful attention during the design phase to ensure the link pipe clears all surrounding components without fouling on the frame, swingarm, or rear bodywork. We’ve done that engineering work so you don’t have to.
Simply bolt the link pipe to the standard OEM downpipes using the supplied hardware, secure the can in position with the exhaust strap and rubber mount, and you’re ready to ride.
When fitting the exhaust to your Triumph Sprint RS, we recommend allowing the engine to cool fully before beginning the installation. Use a high-quality exhaust paste on all joints to ensure a gas-tight seal, and torque all fasteners to the manufacturer’s specification. A short warm-up run after fitting will allow the components to settle and any initial surface oxidation to burn off cleanly.

Sound, Performance, and Style for the Triumph Sprint RS 1999-2004
Beyond the practical benefits, there’s an undeniable sensory upgrade that comes with fitting a quality aftermarket can to your triumph sprint rs 1999-2004. The three-cylinder note that Triumph is famous for becomes richer, more pronounced, and genuinely exciting through a properly designed performance exhaust. You’ll notice the difference from the moment you thumb the starter button, and so will everyone else within earshot—in the best possible way.
Weight reduction is another tangible benefit. The standard OEM silencer fitted to the Triumph Sprint RS is considerably heavier than an aftermarket replacement, and shedding unsprung or high-mounted weight contributes to a more nimble, responsive feel when changing direction. On a sports-tourer like the Sprint RS, that improved agility is particularly welcome on challenging roads, making the bike feel more planted and confidence-inspiring through quick transitions.
The visual improvement is equally significant. A clean, polished stainless steel can fitted to your Triumph Sprint RS instantly modernises the appearance of the bike, replacing the often tired and discoloured factory silencer with something that looks as good as the rest of the machine. It’s a transformation that draws admiring glances at bike meets and petrol stops alike.
