- Frequently Asked Questions — Triumph Street Triple 675 2008-2013 Exhaust
The triumph street triple 675 2008-2013 remains one of the most celebrated naked middleweights ever produced at Triumph’s Hinckley factory, combining agile handling with a characterful three-cylinder engine that begs to be revved. At Max Torque Cans, we’ve engineered this performance exhaust fitment kit specifically for the Street Triple 675, delivering a bolt-on upgrade that transforms exhaust note, sharpens throttle response, and adds a serious dose of visual and aural aggression to your machine.
Whether you’re carving through urban traffic or attacking your favourite back road, this exhaust will make every journey feel more engaging and rewarding.
Why Choose a Performance Exhaust for Your Triumph Street Triple 675 2008-2013?
When Triumph launched the Street Triple 675, it set a new benchmark for the naked middleweight class. The 675cc inline triple — derived directly from the Daytona 675 supersport machine — offered a free-revving character and a soundtrack that stood apart from the ubiquitous four-cylinder competition. However, as with most modern motorcycles, the standard exhaust can is a compromise.
Factory silencers are designed primarily to meet stringent noise regulations and keep production costs manageable, rather than to extract maximum performance and acoustic pleasure from that brilliant engine. Our aftermarket exhaust for the triumph street triple 675 2008-2013 changes all of that.
Constructed from premium 304-grade stainless steel, this exhaust system is built to withstand the rigours of British riding conditions — from winter salt and road spray to summer heat cycles. The mandrel-bent link pipes ensure a smooth, consistent internal bore throughout every curve, eliminating the turbulence and flow restrictions caused by conventional crush-bending methods.
The result is noticeably improved mid-range torque delivery and a stronger top-end pull, giving you the performance gains that every Street Triple rider craves. According to Motorcycle News, upgrading to a quality aftermarket exhaust is one of the most effective modifications for improving both performance and rider enjoyment on modern motorcycles.
What’s Included in This Triumph Street Triple 675 2008-2013 Exhaust Kit
Every component in this fitment kit has been carefully selected for quality, durability, and precision fitment. We don’t use generic off-the-shelf parts — everything is chosen specifically with the triumph street triple 675 2008-2013 in mind. The kit includes:
- 2 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipes — precision-formed for optimal exhaust gas flow and a perfect OEM-matching fit to your existing downpipes
- 2 x Stainless Exhaust Straps — robust, corrosion-resistant mounting hardware built to last the lifetime of your motorcycle
- 2 x Exhaust Strap Rubbers — high-quality vibration-dampening rubbers that protect both the silencer and the frame from wear and resonance
This comprehensive kit ensures you have everything needed for a secure, rattle-free installation that holds firm under all riding conditions, from gentle town cruising to spirited blasts through the rev range on twisty B-roads.
Fitment Details for the Triumph Street Triple 675 2008-2013
Getting the fitment right is absolutely critical when it comes to aftermarket exhausts, and this is an area where Max Torque Cans takes enormous pride. This exhaust has been designed to mate directly to the standard OEM downpipes on the triumph street triple 675 2008-2013, meaning no cutting, no welding, and no modifications to your frame or headers are required.
It truly is a straightforward swap that any competent home mechanic can carry out with basic hand tools and a bit of patience.
The link pipes have been specifically designed and tested to align perfectly with the original mounting points, so you won’t be wrestling with poor tolerances or awkward gaps once everything is bolted up. The stainless exhaust straps and rubber mounts ensure a secure, vibration-free fit that remains solid whether you’re cruising at motorway speeds or hammering through the gears on your favourite stretch of tarmac.
This kit is compatible with all Street Triple 675 variants produced between 2008 and 2013, including both the standard model and the higher-specification R version. You can fit this exhaust with complete confidence that the parts you receive will slot straight into place without any guesswork or improvisation.
Installation Tips for Your Triumph Street Triple 675 2008-2013 Exhaust
Installation is straightforward, but here are a few practical tips to make the job even smoother and ensure a professional result:
- Allow the engine to cool completely before starting any exhaust work. Hot metal and tight spaces are never a good combination, and you’ll avoid burns and frustration by waiting.
- Use copper grease or anti-seize compound on all threads before fitting. This makes future removal far easier and prevents corrosion from locking things up over time — particularly important in the UK climate.
- Offer up the link pipes loosely first before tightening anything down. This allows you to check alignment and ensure there’s no unnecessary stress on any joint or mounting point.
- Tighten the straps and mounts progressively rather than torquing one down fully before moving to the next. This guarantees an even, secure fit all round and prevents distortion.
- Run the engine briefly after fitting and check for any leaks or unusual sounds. A short heat cycle also helps the exhaust settle into its final position.
Once fitted, you’ll immediately notice the difference. The triple-cylinder note opens up beautifully, with a deeper, more purposeful bark under acceleration and a satisfying crackle on the overrun that’ll put a grin on your face every single time you blip the throttle.
What Makes the Triumph Street Triple 675 2008-2013 Such a Great Candidate for an Exhaust Upgrade?
The Street Triple 675 was designed from the outset to be a performance-focused machine. Its 675cc three-cylinder engine shares its DNA with the Daytona 675 supersport bike, which means it was engineered with high-revving performance and enthusiastic riding at its core. Fitting a quality aftermarket can to the triumph street triple 675 2008-2013 removes one of the few remaining restrictions on that engine, allowing it to breathe more freely and express itself in a way the factory tune never quite allowed.
Riders who’ve upgraded consistently report a stronger pull through the mid-range, a more responsive throttle connection, and — perhaps most importantly — a sound that turns heads at every set of traffic lights. For a motorcycle that’s already so engaging and rewarding to ride, these gains make an already excellent machine feel truly special and even more connected to the rider.
