Designed and supplied by Max Torque Cans — one of the UK’s most trusted names in motorcycle performance exhausts — this twin-can package delivers an aggressive tone, a sharper throttle response, and a serious visual upgrade, all in one straightforward bolt-on kit. Whether you’re commuting daily, hitting the weekend twisties, or tearing up a closed circuit, these cans have been engineered to perform.

Why Choose Our 2 x Universal 2″ Slip-On Performance Road Legal/Race Exhausts Mufflers Silencers?

There are dozens of aftermarket options on the market, but very few deliver the combination of genuine road-legal compliance, race-ready performance, and universal fitment that our 2 x universal 2″ slip-on performance road legal/race exhausts mufflers silencers provide. These cans are built to last, finished to impress, and priced to make the upgrade genuinely accessible for every rider — whether you’re on a naked streetfighter, a custom café racer, a scrambler, or a classic twin.

Each silencer in this twin pack measures 380mm in length and accepts a 2 inch (51mm) inlet, making them compatible with a wide range of link pipes and downpipes across many popular motorcycle makes and models. The slip-on design means installation is clean, quick, and requires no specialist tools or exhaust fabrication knowledge. If your bike runs a 51mm outlet on its link pipes, these cans are a direct, no-fuss fit.

The finish on these cans is sharp and purposeful. They complement a wide range of motorcycle aesthetics — from stripped-back minimalist builds to full café racer restorations — and are available in different style variants to suit your vision. The quality of construction means they won’t rattle, corrode prematurely, or let you down mid-ride.

What’s Included in the 2 x Universal 2″ Slip-On Performance Road Legal/Race Exhausts Mufflers Silencers Kit?

We believe in giving you everything you need right out of the box. When you order this twin pack from Max Torque Cans, you’ll receive a complete fitting kit so you can get straight to work without hunting down additional hardware. Here’s exactly what’s in the box:

  • 2 x MTC Exhausts — 380mm long, 2″ (51mm) inlet slip-on silencers
  • 2 x Connecting Clamps — for a secure, leak-free join between your link pipe and the can
  • 2 x Stainless Exhaust Straps — for solid, vibration-resistant mounting to your motorcycle frame or subframe
  • 2 x Exhaust Strap Rubbers — to protect the frame and dampen vibration during running

Everything you need for a clean, professional-looking installation is included. No extra trips to the hardware shop, no improvised brackets — just a complete, ready-to-fit twin silencer package from Max Torque Cans.

Fitment Guide for the 2 x Universal 2″ Slip-On Performance Road Legal/Race Exhausts Mufflers Silencers

Fitting your new 2 x universal 2″ slip-on performance road legal/race exhausts mufflers silencers is a job most competent home mechanics can tackle in an afternoon. Here’s a brief guide to help you get started:

  • Check your link pipe outlet diameter: These cans require a 51mm (2 inch) outlet on your existing link pipes or downpipes. Measure carefully before ordering — a snug fit is essential for performance and safety.
  • Remove your old cans: Undo the existing mounting hardware and slide off your old silencers. Take note of how the straps and brackets are positioned as a reference point for the new installation.
  • Slide on the new cans: Slip the 51mm inlet of each new silencer onto your link pipe outlet. The slip-on fitment should slide cleanly into place.
  • Secure the clamp: Tighten the supplied connecting clamp firmly to create a sealed, gas-tight join. Do not overtighten — firm and even pressure is all that’s needed.
  • Attach the stainless straps: Loop the stainless straps around the silencer body and your frame mounting point, inserting the rubber isolators to cushion the contact point and reduce vibration transfer.
  • Check alignment: Before fully tightening everything down, stand back and check the cans are level and symmetrically positioned. Adjust as needed before locking everything off.
  • Run the engine and check: Start the engine and listen carefully for any leaks at the joint. A properly sealed clamp will produce a clean, full sound with no escaping gas.

If you’re new to fitting aftermarket silencers, Max Torque Cans has a growing library of fitting videos on our YouTube channel to walk you through the process step by step. We strongly recommend watching these before you begin, particularly if this is your first slip-on installation.

Road Legal and Race Variants: Which Is Right for You?

One of the standout features of our 2 x universal 2″ slip-on performance road legal/race exhausts mufflers silencers is that they’re available in both road-legal and race configurations. Understanding the difference is important:

  • Road Legal: These cans comply with UK noise regulations and are designed for everyday road use. They’ll deliver a noticeably improved note over your stock cans without exceeding legal limits — ideal for commuters and weekend riders who want a better sound without the risk of MOT failure or a pull-over.
  • Race: These cans are for track use only and are not road-legal. They offer a louder, more aggressive tone and are typically freer-flowing, which can contribute to improved power delivery. If you’re fitting these to a dedicated track bike or a show machine, the race variant is the one to go for.

Always ensure you’re fitting the correct variant for your intended use. Fitting a race-spec can to a road-registered motorcycle is illegal in the UK and may result in your bike failing its MOT or being deemed unroadworthy.

Performance and Sound: What to Expect from Your New Silencers

Upgrading to a quality aftermarket performance exhaust is one of the most impactful changes you can make to your motorcycle. The difference in sound alone is striking — where a stock silencer tends to muffle and suppress the engine’s character, a quality aftermarket can lets it breathe and express itself. Our 2 x universal 2″ slip-on performance road legal/race exhausts mufflers silencers are tuned to deliver a deep, purposeful note that suits the character of parallel-twin and V-twin engines particularly well.

Beyond the soundtrack, a well-fitted aftermarket silencer can also contribute to a slight reduction in weight over a heavy stock unit, which has a positive effect on handling and agility. While the performance gains from a slip-on alone are modest compared to a full system, the combined benefits of improved flow, reduced weight, and enhanced sound make this one of the best value-for-money upgrades available to any twin-pipe motorcycle owner.

If you’re running a single-pipe configuration and looking for a similar upgrade, take a look at our 1 Universal Reverse Cone Performance Motorbike Exhausts 47.5mm Inlet with Clamp — a single-can solution built to the same high standard. And if you prefer a reverse cone profile for your twin build, we’d also recommend exploring our 2x Universal Reverse Cone Performance Motorbike Exhausts for a slightly different aesthetic and sound signature.
