The honda cb1300 1998-2013 is one of Honda’s most iconic big naked bikes, and if you’re looking to unlock its true potential with a proper performance exhaust, you’ve come to exactly the right place. At Max Torque Cans, we’ve engineered a precision-fit exhaust solution that transforms the sound, looks, and feel of your CB1300 — whether you’re carving up country roads or cutting through city traffic. This is a serious upgrade for a serious motorcycle, and every component in this kit has been selected to deliver quality you can both hear and feel from the moment you fire up the engine.

What’s Included with the Honda CB1300 1998-2013 Exhaust Kit

We believe in giving you everything you need straight out of the box. When you order this exhaust for your honda cb1300 1998-2013, you’ll receive a complete fitting kit that takes the guesswork out of installation. Here’s exactly what’s in the package:

  • 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — crafted from premium-grade 304 stainless steel and formed using CNC mandrel bending technology, ensuring consistent bore diameter throughout the entire bend for maximum exhaust flow and zero restriction.
  • 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — a robust, corrosion-resistant strap that keeps your can firmly in place, even under sustained high-revving conditions.
  • 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — the rubber buffer that sits between the strap and your silencer, protecting the finish and absorbing vibration for a cleaner, rattle-free ride.

That’s a complete kit — no hunting around for additional fittings, no trips to the hardware shop, and no compromises. Everything is designed specifically for the honda cb1300 1998-2013, so fitment is spot on every time.

Why the Honda CB1300 1998-2013 Deserves a Better Exhaust

The CB1300 is a 1300cc inline-four with genuine muscle and a character all of its own. The standard OEM exhaust does the job, but it’s designed with noise regulations and cost in mind — not performance or soul. By fitting a quality aftermarket performance exhaust from Max Torque Cans, you’re giving the engine room to breathe properly. The CNC mandrel bent link pipe maintains a smooth, uninterrupted flow of exhaust gases from the headers through to the silencer, which translates to improved throttle response and a far more rewarding exhaust note across the rev range.

Riders who’ve upgraded their honda cb1300 1998-2013 with our kits consistently report a noticeable improvement in mid-range pull and a deeper, more authoritative exhaust tone that genuinely suits the character of the bike. This isn’t just cosmetic — it’s a performance-led upgrade that makes the ride more engaging every single time you head out.

Fitment Guide for the Honda CB1300 1998-2013

Fitment couldn’t be more straightforward. This exhaust is made to fit straight onto the standard OEM downpipes on your honda cb1300 1998-2013 — no cutting, no welding, and no specialist tools required. The link pipe has been designed with precise dimensions to match the OEM connection points, so you’re not fighting with adapters or workarounds. If your bike left the factory as a CB1300 anywhere between 1998 and 2013, this kit is built for you.

For full confidence in the fit before you order, we’d always recommend checking your VIN plate and confirming your model year falls within the honda cb1300 1998-2013 range. If you’re unsure, drop us a message and we’ll help you out directly. We know these bikes inside out and we’re happy to point you in the right direction.

Honda CB1300 1998-2013 Installation Notes

Most riders with a basic set of hand tools and a bit of mechanical confidence can complete this installation in under an hour. Here are a few practical tips to make the job as smooth as possible:

  • Allow the engine to cool fully before starting. Working on a hot exhaust is both dangerous and uncomfortable — give it at least a couple of hours after your last ride.
  • Use copper grease on all the threaded connections. This makes future removal far easier and prevents the bolts from seizing due to heat cycles over time.
  • Reuse your OEM downpipes — this kit is designed to work with them, so there’s no need to replace anything that’s already in good condition.
  • Check all fixings after your first ride. It’s normal for new fittings to settle slightly with heat, so a quick torque check after the first run is always good practice.
  • Watch our YouTube installation videos for a real-world walkthrough of the fitting process. Seeing it done in real time makes the whole job far less daunting if this is your first exhaust swap.

The stainless exhaust strap and rubber buffer are included to ensure a secure, vibration-free mount for your silencer. Don’t skip the rubber — it plays an important role in protecting the finish of your can and dampening any resonance at idle.

Quality You Can Trust on the Honda CB1300 1998-2013

At Max Torque Cans, we don’t cut corners. The 304 stainless steel used in this link pipe is the same grade you’ll find on high-end performance exhausts fitted to race bikes. It offers outstanding resistance to the extreme heat cycles and corrosive elements that exhaust components are exposed to year-round in the UK. Rain, road salt, heat — 304 stainless takes it all in its stride and keeps looking smart for years, not months.

The CNC mandrel bending process is equally important. Unlike conventional bending methods that can cause the pipe wall to thin and deform at the bend, mandrel bending keeps the internal diameter consistent throughout. That means no turbulence, no restriction, and no loss of the flow improvements you’re investing in. For a bike like the honda cb1300 1998-2013, that smooth gas flow makes a genuine difference to how the engine pulls through the mid and upper rev range.

Frequently Asked Questions — Honda CB1300 1998-2013

  • Will this fit my 2005 Honda CB1300? Yes — this kit is designed to cover the full honda cb1300 1998-2013 production run, so any year within that range is supported.
  • Do I need to remap or retune after fitting? The link pipe alone doesn’t typically require a remap, but if you’re also fitting a free-flowing aftermarket silencer and air filter, a fuelling adjustment may be beneficial. We’d recommend consulting a Honda specialist if you’re making multiple modifications simultaneously.
  • Is this road legal? The link pipe itself is a replacement component. Road legality of your overall setup will depend on the silencer you pair it with. Please ensure any can you fit complies with UK noise regulations if you ride on public roads.
  • What tools do I need? A basic socket set, a torque wrench, and copper grease will cover the vast majority of the job. No specialist tools are required for the honda cb1300 1998-2013 fitment.
  • Can I see this fitted before I buy? Absolutely — check out our YouTube videos linked on this page to see real installations and hear the results for yourself.

The CB1300 is a 1,284 cc (78.4 cu in) Honda motorcycle released in 1998 as a successor to the CB1000. Its engine, with minor modifications, came from the Honda X4, released in the previous year. In 2003, the CB1300 received a slightly different engine which lacked cooling fins.

Beginning in 2005, Honda offered two versions of the CB1300: the standard, unfaired model, and the Super Bol D’Or (in Europe the CB1300S), with half fairing.

The CB1300 has never been sold by authorized dealers in the United States or Canada. Gray market importers brought in small numbers.

The 2018 model, only available in Japan, had some performance and exhaust changes bringing power up to 109 hp
