This exhaust has been purpose-built for the CBR900RR Fireblade, one of the most iconic and celebrated sportsbikes ever to roll out of Japan, and it’s engineered to deliver a genuine performance upgrade without unnecessary fuss, complication, or compromise.
The original Honda CBR900RR Fireblade was nothing short of revolutionary when it launched in 1992. Designed by the legendary Tadao Baba, it redefined what a litre-class sportsbike could be — combining featherweight handling with serious power in a package that felt nimble, precise, and utterly addictive to ride. Whether you’re riding one as a cherished classic, a weekend canyon carver, or as a daily blast machine, it deserves a quality aftermarket exhaust that honours its character and engineering excellence.
That’s exactly what this performance can delivers, and then some.
Product Features for the Honda CBR900RR Fireblade 1992-1995
This performance exhaust has been crafted with quality, durability, and fitment precision in mind. It features a robust 3-bolt fitting, ensuring a solid, rattle-free connection to your standard OEM downpipes with absolutely no modifications, cutting, or welding required. The build quality is exceptional throughout, and the finish is designed to complement the timeless, aggressive lines of the early Fireblade.
Every detail has been considered to ensure this exhaust not only performs brilliantly but also looks the business mounted on your bike.
- 3-bolt fitting for a secure, stable connection that eliminates vibration and movement
- Designed to fit directly to the standard OEM downpipes — no cutting, welding, or adapters required
- Includes 1 x Stainless Steel Exhaust Strap for added support and long-term security
- Includes 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber to protect the mount and reduce vibration transfer to the frame
- Suitable for the Honda CBR900RR and CBR900RR Fireblade models from 1992 through to 1995
- Delivers an improved exhaust note — deeper, more aggressive, and race-inspired tone compared to the standard silencer
- Lightweight construction to help shed unnecessary weight compared to the factory can, improving handling and responsiveness
- High-quality materials and finish designed to withstand the rigours of enthusiastic riding and British weather
The inclusion of the stainless exhaust strap and protective rubber mounting is a thoughtful touch that many budget options overlook entirely. It ensures the can is properly supported throughout its service life, reducing stress on the connection point and helping the exhaust last longer while maintaining its appearance. These small details matter enormously, and they’re part of why Max Torque Cans products consistently stand out from cheaper alternatives flooding the market.
Fitment Guide: Honda CBR900RR Fireblade 1992-1995 Compatibility
Getting the right fit for your honda cbr900rr fireblade 1992-1995 couldn’t be more straightforward with this exhaust system. It has been engineered specifically to marry up perfectly with the standard OEM downpipes that came fitted to the bike from the factory. This means there’s no need for link pipes, adapters, custom fabrication work, or specialist tools — it’s a genuine bolt-on upgrade that any competent home mechanic can tackle with confidence.
The 3-bolt fitting is the standard configuration for this generation of the Fireblade, so provided your downpipes are in good condition and haven’t been modified or damaged, this can will seat cleanly and securely every time. We always recommend thoroughly checking your header gasket and downpipe flanges before fitting any new exhaust — if the existing gasket is worn, compressed, or the flanges show signs of corrosion or warping, it’s well worth replacing them at the same time to ensure an airtight seal and avoid any exhaust blowing or gas leakage.
This performance exhaust is confirmed compatible with the following Honda models:
- Honda CBR900RR — 1992
- Honda CBR900RR — 1993
- Honda CBR900RR Fireblade — 1994
- Honda CBR900RR Fireblade — 1995
If you’re unsure whether this exhaust is the right match for your specific bike or if you’ve made any modifications to your exhaust system previously, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the experienced team at Max Torque Cans. We’re always happy to help confirm compatibility and answer any technical questions before you place your order.
Installation Notes for Your Honda CBR900RR Fireblade 1992-1995
Installing this performance exhaust on your honda cbr900rr fireblade 1992-1995 is a straightforward job that most competent home mechanics will be able to tackle with basic hand tools and a little patience. Here’s a quick overview of the installation process to help you get the job done properly:
- Allow the engine and existing exhaust system to cool completely before beginning work — burns from hot exhausts are no joke
- Remove the old silencer by unbolting the 3-bolt flange and releasing any existing mounting straps or rubbers
- Carefully check the condition of the downpipe flange and replace the header gasket if it shows any signs of wear or compression
- Offer up the new can to the downpipe and align the 3-bolt flange — hand-tighten the bolts initially before torquing down evenly in a cross-pattern
- Fit the supplied stainless exhaust strap and exhaust strap rubber to the designated mounting point on the frame or subframe
- Double-check all bolts are secure and the can is properly supported with no excessive movement before starting the engine
- Run the engine briefly and check carefully for any leaks at the join — a small amount of discolouration on the first run is perfectly normal as the new can heats up and cures
As with any exhaust fitment work, take care not to over-tighten the flange bolts, as this can distort the mating faces and lead to blowing or cracking. A calibrated torque wrench is your best friend here and will ensure a perfect seal every time. If you’re fitting the exhaust to a bike that’s been standing for a while, applying penetrating oil to the old bolts the day before will save you a great deal of frustration and potentially snapped studs.

To Make sure that you are shopping for the correct Model exhaust here is some information about this model.
The Honda CBR900RR, also known as the FireBlade in some countries, is a 900 cc sport bike, part of the CBR series introduced in 1992 by Honda. It was the first of a series of large-displacement Honda models to carry the RR suffix. The development of the first generation CBR900RR was led by Tadao Baba.
CBR900RR (893cc) SC28
The first generation CBR900RR was introduced in 1992 with an 893 cc (54.5 cu in) inline-four engine. It set a precedent for light weight in the super bike class, being much lighter than other large-displacement bikes of the time. The CBR900RR was based on an advanced research stage model known within Honda as the “CBR750RR”. With the objective of equaling the acceleration of competitors’ flagship sport bikes, Honda increased the stroke of its inline 4-cylinder 750cc engine and thus raised displacement to 893cc. Complementing its power performance were the bike’s dry weight of just 185 kg, wheelbase of 1,405 mm and a body almost identical to that of the advanced research stage model. At 453 lb (205 kg) wet weight, it was by just 4 lb (2 kg) heavier than the CBR600F2, while the next-lightest over-750cc machine, the Yamaha FZR1000, was heavier by 76 lb (34 kg).
Changes for the 1994 model comprise a new shift drum to improve notchy gear shifts. The second-generation CBR900RR, which debuted in 1995, incorporated changes in damping rates and spring rates. The front fork was upgraded with a compression adjuster. The upper cowl stay went from steel to aluminum, and the cylinder head cover went from aluminum to magnesium. The styling of the bike also became more aggressive: The independent dual lights became irregular-shaped multi-reflector lights known as “fox eyes” set further back and covered to improve aerodynamics, and the bike had fewer of the RR’s unique fairing “speed” holes. The foot pegs were firmer and slimmer like that of the RC45 and the reversed pedal on the original was replaced with a shift linkage. Instead of measuring speed from the front wheel the speed is measured from the countershaft sprocket with an electronic speedometer.
