Every exhaust we produce at Max Torque Cans is crafted with pride in the UK. We don’t import generic silencers and slap a label on them — we design and build our products with specific motorcycles in mind, which means the fitment is precise, the finish is exceptional, and the performance gains are genuine. This listing covers the complete link pipe and silencer package for the suzuki gsxr1000 k5 – k6 2005-2006, giving you everything you need to make a clean, professional-looking installation from day one.
What’s Included with the Suzuki GSXR1000 K5 – K6 2005-2006 Performance Exhaust Kit
We believe in giving you everything you need straight out of the box, so you’re not scrambling around for extra parts or hunting down obscure fasteners. This complete package for the suzuki gsxr1000 k5 – k6 2005-2006 includes the following components:
- 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — precision-formed from grade 304 stainless steel for outstanding corrosion resistance and a clean, consistent bore throughout every bend.
- 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — robust and durable, designed to hold your silencer securely under hard acceleration and high-vibration riding conditions.
- 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — a quality rubber isolator that cushions the silencer mounting point, reducing vibration transfer and protecting both the can and the chassis.
This kit is designed to fit straight onto the standard OEM downpipes of your suzuki gsxr1000 k5 – k6 2005-2006, meaning there’s no need for additional adapters or custom fabrication work. It’s a direct, no-fuss upgrade that looks the part and performs even better.
Why Choose a Max Torque Cans Exhaust for Your Suzuki GSXR1000 K5 – K6 2005-2006?
There are plenty of aftermarket exhausts out there, so why go with Max Torque Cans? The answer is simple: we’re a UK-based specialist who genuinely cares about the quality of the product leaving our workshop. Every link pipe is CNC mandrel bent — a process that ensures the internal diameter of the pipe remains consistent around every curve. This matters enormously for exhaust gas flow. A poorly formed bend creates turbulence and back pressure, robbing your engine of the performance it’s capable of delivering. With our mandrel-bent stainless pipework, gases flow freely and efficiently, helping your GSXR1000 breathe the way it was designed to.
Grade 304 stainless steel is the material of choice for serious exhaust fabricators, and it’s what we use throughout. It’s highly resistant to the extreme heat cycling your silencer experiences every single ride, and it won’t corrode, pit, or rust the way mild steel or chrome alternatives can. The result is a performance exhaust that looks great on day one and continues to look great after years of hard use — regardless of British weather.
The suzuki gsxr1000 k5 – k6 2005-2006 already has exceptional engineering at its core. Our exhausts are designed to complement that engineering, not compromise it. By replacing the heavy OEM silencer and link pipe with our lightweight stainless setup, you’ll notice an improvement in throttle response, a reduction in unsprung weight, and — perhaps most importantly — a significantly more satisfying exhaust note that matches the character of this incredible machine.
Fitment and Installation Notes for the Suzuki GSXR1000 K5 – K6 2005-2006
One of the most common frustrations with aftermarket exhausts is fitment. Poor tolerances mean hours of fiddling, re-drilling brackets, or worse — discovering the product simply doesn’t fit the way it should. We eliminate that frustration by designing our products specifically for individual motorcycle models. This kit is made to bolt directly onto the OEM downpipes of the suzuki gsxr1000 k5 – k6 2005-2006, with no modifications required to the standard header pipes.
Installation is straightforward for anyone with a basic set of tools and a mechanical mindset. We recommend the following approach:
- Allow the engine and existing exhaust components to cool fully before beginning any work.
- Remove the standard silencer and link pipe carefully, keeping all original fasteners in case they are needed during fitting.
- Offer up the new link pipe to the OEM downpipes and check alignment before tightening anything — this ensures you get a clean, leak-free connection.
- Fit the exhaust strap rubber to the mounting bracket before sliding the silencer into position.
- Tighten all connections progressively rather than fully torquing one point at a time — this ensures even seating across all joints.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to allow joints to settle, then re-check all connections once cooled.
If you’re unsure at any stage, we always recommend consulting a qualified motorcycle technician. A properly fitted performance exhaust will last the life of the bike — a poorly fitted one can cause leaks, rattles, and damage to surrounding components.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Suzuki GSXR1000 K5 – K6 2005-2006 Exhaust Kit
Will this exhaust fit both the K5 and K6 models?
Yes. This kit is designed to cover both the 2005 (K5) and 2006 (K6) variants of the suzuki gsxr1000 k5 – k6 2005-2006. Both model years share the same OEM downpipe configuration, making this a direct fit for either machine.
Do I need to re-map my ECU after fitting this exhaust?
For a slip-on silencer and link pipe replacement that retains the OEM headers, a full remap is not always essential for road use. However, to extract the maximum performance benefit and ensure the fuel mixture remains optimal, an ECU remap or a fuel management device is always recommended. We advise consulting a GSXR specialist for tailored advice.
Is the stainless steel finish easy to maintain?
Grade 304 stainless is very low maintenance. A wipe down with a dedicated stainless cleaner after rides in wet or salty conditions will keep it looking its best. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the surface.
Can I use this kit if I’ve already modified my OEM downpipes?
This kit is designed to mate with standard OEM downpipes. If your downpipes have been modified or replaced, please get in touch with us before ordering so we can advise on compatibility.
Where is this exhaust made?
Everything we produce at Max Torque Cans is made right here in the UK. You’re buying British craftsmanship when you choose us — and that means quality control at every stage of production.
The suzuki gsxr1000 k5 – k6 2005-2006 is too good a motorcycle to run a heavy, uninspiring OEM silencer. Upgrade to a Max Torque Cans performance exhaust and give your K5 or K6 the voice — and the performance — it truly deserves.

Clearly marked with type approval markings “Not for Road Use” etched into the side, these exhausts are specifically designed for racing applications. This distinction is in line with DVSA policy, ensuring that our race exhausts are suitable for track use, meeting the highest performance standards without compromising on safety.
