Our honda cb1000r sc60 08- 2016 exhaust system is engineered to bolt directly onto your standard OEM downpipes — no fabrication, no guesswork, no expensive trips to an engineering shop.

Everything you need arrives in one complete package, ready to fit in your garage on a Saturday afternoon with nothing more than basic hand tools and a bit of mechanical confidence.

Honda CB1000R SC60 08- 2016 Exhaust Features & Specification

This exhaust has been designed with both practicality and performance firmly in mind. At 380mm in length, it meets the shortest permissible measurement for road-legal use here in the UK, giving your CB1000R a compact, tail-tidy silhouette without falling foul of MOT regulations or roadside enforcement. The result is a bike that looks as aggressive as it sounds, with maximum ground clearance and a race-bred aesthetic that turns heads wherever you ride.

  • Road Legal Option: Comes complete with full BSAU markings and a road-legal baffle (Decibel Killer) fitted as standard. Stay fully compliant with UK regulations without sacrificing the deep, characterful tone your CB1000R deserves.
  • Race Option: All race cans are supplied WITHOUT a baffle — perfect for track days, closed-road events, or anywhere you want the full, unrestricted soundtrack of that glorious CB1000R four-cylinder engine at full chat.
  • 380mm Length: The shortest length approved for road-legal use in the UK — delivering an aggressive stance, improved ground clearance, and a tucked-in profile that dramatically enhances the bike’s visual balance.
  • Stainless Steel Construction: Built to withstand the notorious British weather, road salt, winter moisture, and the demands of regular high-performance riding. This exhaust won’t corrode, rust, or lose its lustre after just one winter season.
  • Direct OEM Fit: Designed to connect directly to your standard Honda downpipes — no modifications, no adapter plates, no custom brackets required. True plug-and-play fitment.
  • Optional Stainless Heat Shield: Available separately for riders who want full heat protection and a finished, professional appearance. Particularly recommended if you regularly carry a pillion passenger.

Each honda cb1000r sc60 08- 2016 exhaust package includes everything required for a clean, straightforward installation: 1 x Exhaust Silencer, 1 x Link Pipe, 2 x Connecting Clamps, 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap, and 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber. Note that the Stainless Heat Shield is available as an optional extra — see the related product listing on our website for full details and pricing.

Fitment & Compatibility — Honda CB1000R SC60 08- 2016

This exhaust system is specifically designed, tested, and proven for the honda cb1000r sc60 08- 2016 model range. If your CB1000R falls within those production years, this system will fit perfectly — no adapter plates, no custom fabrication, no welding required. The link pipe and connecting clamps align precisely with Honda’s OEM downpipe dimensions, ensuring a secure, rattle-free connection every single time you fire up the engine.

The SC60 generation of the CB1000R is widely regarded as one of Honda’s most successful and celebrated naked bikes — a machine that blends sharp, aggressive styling with a 998cc inline-four engine capable of delivering thrilling performance across all rev ranges. The stock exhaust system, while functional and reliable, is heavy, visually uninspiring, and designed primarily to meet strict European noise and emissions regulations rather than to unleash the true sonic character of that magnificent engine.

Our aftermarket system sheds valuable weight from the rear of the bike, improving the power-to-weight ratio, sharpening handling response, and shifting the visual balance to give the CB1000R the menacing, race-inspired profile it truly deserves.

If you’re unsure whether this exhaust fits your specific model year or if your bike has been modified from standard specification, feel free to get in touch with our experienced team before placing your order. We’re riders ourselves, and we’re always happy to confirm compatibility and answer any technical questions before you commit your hard-earned cash.

Installation Notes for the Honda CB1000R SC60 08- 2016 Exhaust System

Fitting the honda cb1000r sc60 08- 2016 exhaust is a job that most competent home mechanics can tackle with confidence using basic hand tools. Here’s a quick step-by-step overview of what’s involved:

  • Step 1: Allow the original exhaust system to cool fully before you begin. Hot exhaust components can cause serious burns — safety must always come first.
  • Step 2: Remove the OEM silencer and any mid-pipe sections if present, carefully retaining your original hardware and components as a backup or for potential resale value.
  • Step 3: Offer up the new link pipe to the existing Honda downpipes. The fit should be snug, precise, and require no forcing or modification.
  • Step 4: Attach the supplied connecting clamps — do not fully tighten at this stage. Leave everything slightly loose to allow for alignment adjustments.
  • Step 5: Fit the exhaust strap and rubber mounting to the designated mounting point on the subframe or pillion footrest hanger bracket.
  • Step 6: Slide the silencer onto the link pipe, carefully align everything for proper ground clearance and visual symmetry, then systematically tighten all clamps and fasteners to the manufacturer’s recommended torque settings.
  • Step 7: Start the engine, allow it to reach full operating temperature, and thoroughly re-check all connections once the system has heat-cycled. This ensures everything remains secure under thermal expansion.

We strongly recommend using copper anti-seize paste on all threaded connections for ease of future removal and to prevent corrosion or seizing. The entire installation process typically takes between 30 and 60 minutes for a first-time fitting. Want to see the process in action? Check out our installation videos on the Max Torque Cans YouTube channel for a detailed visual walkthrough that makes the job even easier.
