Why Choose This Exhaust for Your Kawasaki ZXR400 H 1989-1990?

At Max Torque Cans, we understand that riders who own a kawasaki zxr400 h 1989-1990 are passionate about their machines. This isn’t just any old can — it’s a carefully engineered silencer built to complement the character of this legendary bike. Here’s what makes it stand out:

  • 3 Bolt-On Fitting: Secure, reliable, and straightforward. The three-bolt connection ensures the can sits firmly in position with no unwanted vibration or movement, even under hard acceleration or sustained high-rev riding.
  • 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap: Included in the box, this high-quality stainless steel strap provides additional support and keeps your exhaust mounted securely to the bodywork or bracket.
  • 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber: The rubber buffer sits between the strap and the can, preventing metal-on-metal contact and reducing vibration transfer. A small detail that makes a significant difference to long-term durability.
  • Direct OEM Downpipe Fitment: This exhaust is engineered to connect straight to the standard factory downpipes on the kawasaki zxr400 h 1989-1990 — no fabrication, no adapters, no drama.
  • Quality Construction: Built to withstand the demands of real-world riding, this can is made to last and to perform session after session, commute after commute.

The result is a performance exhaust that not only looks the part but delivers a deep, purposeful note that suits the ZXR400’s high-revving character perfectly. Whether you’re blipping the throttle on a morning ride or pushing hard on a favourite B-road, this silencer makes every ride that bit more rewarding.

Installation Notes for Your Kawasaki ZXR400 H 1989-1990 Exhaust

Fitting this can to your kawasaki zxr400 h 1989-1990 is a relatively straightforward process, but there are a few tips worth keeping in mind to ensure a clean, professional result:

  • Allow the engine to cool fully before beginning any exhaust work. Working around hot pipes is both uncomfortable and potentially dangerous.
  • Use copper grease or anti-seize compound on all threaded connections. This prevents corrosion locking bolts in place over time and makes future removal considerably easier.
  • Fit the stainless exhaust strap and rubber buffer before fully tightening any bolts. This allows you to position everything correctly before committing to the final torque settings.
  • Torque all bolts to the manufacturer’s specification. Over-tightening the three-bolt connection can distort the flange, while under-tightening risks leaks and unwanted movement.
  • Check for leaks after the first ride by running the engine and listening carefully around the joint area. A small amount of heat discolouration around the canister is entirely normal during the first few heat cycles.
  • Consult a qualified motorcycle mechanic if you’re not fully confident working with your bike’s exhaust setup. A proper fit is essential for both performance and safety.
