The yamaha fz1 s 2006-2016 is one of the most exhilarating naked sports bikes ever to roll out of Japan, and it deserves an exhaust that matches its performance credentials. At Max Torque Cans, we’ve developed a purpose-built performance exhaust specifically designed for the Yamaha FZ1 S, giving you a sharper sound, improved throttle response, and a look that turns heads at every junction. Whether you’re carving up A-roads or blasting along the motorway, this exhaust transforms the riding experience from impressive to genuinely outstanding.

Our customers consistently tell us that fitting one of our performance cans is the single best upgrade they’ve made to their bike. For owners of the yamaha fz1 s 2006-2016, that sentiment rings especially true. The FZ1 S already packs a punchy 998cc inline-four engine, and this exhaust is engineered to let that engine breathe more freely, delivering a deeper, more authoritative exhaust note that suits the bike’s aggressive character perfectly.

What’s Included with Your Yamaha FZ1 S 2006-2016 Performance Exhaust

We believe in making your upgrade as straightforward as possible, which is why every kit arrives complete with everything you need to get fitted and on the road quickly. When you order the exhaust for your yamaha fz1 s 2006-2016, you’ll receive the following components in the box:

  • 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — precision formed from premium-grade 304 stainless steel, ensuring long-lasting durability and resistance to corrosion in all British weather conditions.
  • 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — a robust stainless steel mounting strap engineered to hold your silencer firmly in place, even under hard acceleration and high engine loads.
  • 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — a high-quality rubber buffer that prevents vibration transmission and protects your bike’s bodywork from contact points.

Every component is selected with longevity and performance in mind. The 304 stainless steel construction means this exhaust won’t succumb to the rust and corrosion that can plague cheaper aftermarket alternatives. It’s built to last the lifetime of your yamaha fz1 s 2006-2016 and beyond.

Fitment Details for the Yamaha FZ1 S 2006-2016

One of the most important things to know about this exhaust is that it has been designed to fit directly to the standard OEM downpipes on your yamaha fz1 s 2006-2016. There’s no need to source additional adapters, modify your existing headers, or visit a machine shop. This is a direct bolt-on upgrade, which means you spend less time in the garage and more time on the road enjoying the results.

The CNC mandrel-bent link pipe is the key to this clean fitment. Mandrel bending maintains a consistent internal diameter throughout every curve of the pipe, avoiding the restrictions caused by conventional bending methods. The result is improved gas flow and a link pipe that aligns perfectly with your OEM downpipes every single time. For the yamaha fz1 s 2006-2016, precise fitment like this also means no unsightly gaps, no rattles, and no leaks at the join.

Installation Notes for Your Yamaha FZ1 S 2006-2016 Exhaust

Fitting this exhaust to your yamaha fz1 s 2006-2016 is well within the capability of any competent home mechanic. That said, we always recommend following a few simple guidelines to ensure the best possible result:

  • Allow the engine to cool completely before starting any work. The OEM downpipes retain heat for a considerable time after riding, and working on a hot exhaust is both dangerous and uncomfortable.
  • Apply a small amount of copper grease to the slip joints before fitting. This prevents the stainless steel surfaces from seizing together, making future removal straightforward.
  • Hand-tighten all fixings first, then check the alignment of the link pipe and silencer before torquing everything down to the manufacturer’s recommended settings. This ensures a perfect, rattle-free fit.
  • Check all fixings again after the first ride. New exhausts can settle slightly during the first heat cycle, so a brief torque check after your initial run is always good practice.
  • Refer to the photographic gallery on our Flickr page for detailed installation reference images specific to the yamaha fz1 s 2006-2016 fitment.

If you’re unsure at any stage, our team at Max Torque Cans is always happy to help. We know these bikes inside out and can walk you through any aspect of the fitting process.
