What’s Included with the BMW R1200 ST 2005-2007 Performance Exhaust

Every bmw r1200 st 2005-2007 exhaust kit from Max Torque Cans comes fully equipped with everything you need for a straightforward, hassle-free installation. There are no hidden extras, no frustrating trips to the hardware shop — just a complete, well-thought-out package ready to fit straight out of the box.

  • 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — precision-formed to ensure optimal flow and a perfect OEM-matching fit
  • 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — robust and corrosion-resistant, built to last through all weather conditions
  • 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — provides vibration dampening and a secure, rattle-free mounting solution

The link pipe is the star of the package. Manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel and formed using CNC mandrel bending technology, it maintains a consistent internal diameter throughout every curve. This means exhaust gases flow freely and efficiently, rather than being choked by crimped or crushed bends found in lower-quality alternatives. The result is smoother power delivery and improved throttle response across the rev range — qualities that any bmw r1200 st 2005-2007 rider will immediately appreciate.

Fitment Details for the BMW R1200 ST 2005-2007

This exhaust has been designed to mate directly with the standard OEM downpipes on the bmw r1200 st 2005-2007. There is no cutting, welding, or fabrication required. If your bike falls within the 2005 to 2007 model years, this kit is a direct, bolt-on fitment — clean, simple, and reliable.

The precision engineering behind this product means the tolerances are tight and accurate. The link pipe aligns perfectly with the factory downpipe exit, ensuring a gas-tight seal without excessive force or additional sealant. The included stainless strap and rubber mount work together to secure the silencer in place and absorb the vibrations inherent in a twin-cylinder boxer engine — keeping everything solid and rattle-free mile after mile.

If you also own or are considering a larger BMW touring machine, it’s worth browsing our BMW R1200RT 2014-2018 exhaust option, which features the same commitment to quality and OEM-compatible fitment.

Installation Notes for Your BMW R1200 ST 2005-2007 Exhaust

Fitting this exhaust to your bmw r1200 st 2005-2007 is a job well within the capability of any competent home mechanic. You’ll need basic hand tools — spanners, a torque wrench, and possibly a little penetrating oil if your existing fasteners have been on for some time. Here’s a brief overview of the installation process:

  • Allow the engine to cool completely before beginning any exhaust work. This protects both you and the components.
  • Remove the existing silencer and link pipe by undoing the mounting strap and the connection at the downpipe. Take note of how the rubber hanger aligns — your new setup mirrors this layout exactly.
  • Offer up the new link pipe to the OEM downpipe. It should locate cleanly without forcing. Hand-tighten any clamps or retaining hardware before final torquing.
  • Attach the exhaust strap and rubber mount to the frame hanger point, ensuring the silencer hangs level and does not foul any bodywork or heat-sensitive components.
  • Torque all fixings to the manufacturer’s specification and run the engine to check for any leaks or unusual sounds. A short heat cycle will help the new components settle into position.
