If you’re searching for the perfect performance exhaust upgrade for the honda cb500x 2013-2023, you’ve landed in exactly the right place. At Max Torque Cans, we specialise in precision-engineered, high-quality exhausts built specifically for your machine — and this offering for the honda cb500x 2013-2023 is one of our most popular fitments. Whether you’re after a sharper exhaust note, a cleaner look under the tail, or simply want to replace a tired OEM silencer, this is the upgrade your CB500X deserves.
The honda cb500x 2013-2023 is a brilliantly capable adventure-touring middleweight — reliable, comfortable, and genuinely fun to ride. But like most factory setups, the standard exhaust leaves something to be desired in terms of sound, weight, and visual appeal. That’s where Max Torque Cans steps in. Our performance cans are designed and manufactured right here in the UK, using premium materials and expert craftsmanship to deliver a product that looks and sounds the part without compromising on quality or durability.
What’s Included with Your Honda CB500X 2013-2023 Performance Exhaust
Every kit we supply for the honda cb500x 2013-2023 comes complete with everything you need for a clean, confident installation. There’s no hunting around for extra parts or missing hardware — it’s all in the box and ready to go. Here’s exactly what you’ll receive:
- 1 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipe — complete with centre stand attachment (available as an optional extra depending on your model variant)
- 1 x Stainless Exhaust Strap — a tough, corrosion-resistant strap to hold everything firmly in place
- 1 x Exhaust Strap Rubber — to cushion the mounting point and reduce vibration transfer
The stainless 304 link pipe is the backbone of this kit. CNC mandrel bending ensures smooth, consistent bends throughout — maintaining internal diameter and preventing the kinks or restrictions you’d find in lesser fabrications. This means better gas flow, better performance, and a longer service life compared to standard mild steel alternatives.
Fitment Details for the Honda CB500X 2013-2023
One of the standout advantages of this kit is just how straightforward the fitment process is. The honda cb500x 2013-2023 exhaust is made to bolt directly onto the standard OEM downpipes — no modification, no cutting, no fabrication required. If you’re a competent home mechanic with basic tools, you’ll have this fitted in an afternoon. If you’d rather let a workshop handle it, any decent motorcycle technician will get the job done quickly and without fuss.
It’s worth noting that the centre stand attachment on the link pipe is available as an optional extra depending on your specific model variant within the honda cb500x 2013-2023 production run. Before ordering, please check your model year and whether your bike is fitted with a centre stand — and select accordingly when adding to your basket. If you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Why Stainless 304 Makes All the Difference on the Honda CB500X 2013-2023
Not all stainless steel is created equal, and when it comes to exhausts, the grade matters enormously. We use Grade 304 stainless steel throughout the fabrication of the honda cb500x 2013-2023 link pipe because it offers an exceptional balance of heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and strength. Riders who commute through wet British winters or tour across Europe will particularly appreciate the durability — this isn’t going to rust and rot the way cheaper alternatives can.
The CNC mandrel bending process we use ensures every curve in the pipe is clean and precise. Mandrel bending supports the interior of the tube during the bend, preventing collapse or restriction in the pipe wall. The result is a smooth internal bore from header to can — which translates directly into improved exhaust gas scavenging, better throttle response, and a more satisfying ride on your honda cb500x 2013-2023.
Installation Tips for Your Honda CB500X 2013-2023 Exhaust Upgrade
Getting your new performance can fitted correctly the first time will save you time and frustration. Here are a few practical tips to bear in mind when installing your honda cb500x 2013-2023 exhaust:
- Allow the bike to cool completely before starting any exhaust work. Working on a hot engine is uncomfortable at best and dangerous at worst.
- Use penetrating oil on any existing fasteners that may have seized, particularly on older models in the 2013-2016 range. A little patience here prevents snapped bolts.
- Check all joints are seated correctly before tightening. An exhaust that isn’t properly seated will blow and cause an annoying ticking sound under load.
- Torque fasteners to spec — don’t simply crank everything as tight as possible. Over-tightening can strip threads or crack flanges.
- Re-check all fittings after your first short ride once everything has heated up and settled into place.

The exhaust note on the honda cb500x 2013-2023 when fitted with one of our performance cans is noticeably more characterful than the stock unit — fuller, deeper, and with a crisp edge on the throttle — while remaining perfectly civil for everyday commuting and touring. This isn’t a race-only screamer; it’s a well-rounded upgrade that suits the versatile nature of the CB500X perfectly.

To Make sure that you are shopping for the correct Model exhaust here is some information about this model.
Since its launch, the range received many favorable reviews; some preferring the taller X model while the sporty R model was one of Honda’s top-selling bikes in Canada during 2015 and best selling sports bike in Australia. Many commentators, especially on off-road and long-distance touring, argued the need for such middleweight bikes. Perhaps as a consequence, in 2015, RallyRaid, a British after-market specialist, created upgrade kits for the R & F machines and a full adventure conversion kit for the X model. Multiple small improvements in the 2019 range impressed commentators with MCN describing the CB500X as an exceptional machine.

At Max Torque Cans we prioritise safety and compliance in the world of motorcycle exhausts. Our commitment to adhering to regulations is evident in our product design and labelling, and hence with new updates from ACEM, DVSA and DfT, we are ensuring our exhaust systems are compliant with new and upcoming legislation and regulations. Specifically, two changes detailed below:
Road Legal Exhausts: Our road legal exhausts will have the BSAU stamped markings and be crafted with non-removable baffles, aligning seamlessly with the standards set by ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers). These baffles are an integral part of our design to ensure that your motorcycle exhaust complies with road regulations, providing you with a legal and enjoyable riding experience.
Race Exhausts and Silencers: For those seeking an exhilarating experience on the track, our race exhausts are engineered to deliver optimal performance. Clearly marked with type approval markings “Not for Road Use” etched into the side, these exhausts are specifically designed for racing applications. This distinction is in line with DVSA policy, ensuring that our race exhausts are suitable for track use, meeting the highest performance standards without compromising on safety.
