What’s Included with the Kawasaki Z1000-SX 2010-2019 Link Pipe Kit
This exhaust package for the kawasaki z1000-sx 2010-2019 has been put together with precision fitment and ease of installation firmly in mind. Everything you need to complete a clean, professional-looking install arrives in the box, so you won’t be making last-minute trips to the hardware shop. Here’s exactly what you get:
- 2 x Stainless 304 CNC Mandrel Bent Link Pipes — crafted from high-grade 304 stainless steel and shaped using CNC mandrel bending technology to maintain full bore diameter throughout every curve, ensuring optimal gas flow and maximum performance gains.
- 2 x Stainless Exhaust Straps — durable, corrosion-resistant straps that keep your silencer mounted securely, mile after mile, whatever the British weather throws at you.
- 2 x Exhaust Strap Rubbers — vibration-dampening rubbers that protect both the strap and your can from the constant vibrations of daily riding, extending the life of your setup considerably.
The entire kit is designed to bolt directly onto the standard OEM downpipes of the kawasaki z1000-sx 2010-2019 — no cutting, no welding, and no specialist tools required. It’s a genuine bolt-on upgrade that any competent home mechanic can tackle in an afternoon.
Why Choose Max Torque Cans for Your Kawasaki Z1000-SX 2010-2019 Performance Exhaust
At Max Torque Cans, we don’t simply resell generic parts. Every component in this kit has been designed and tested specifically for the kawasaki z1000-sx 2010-2019, which means the fitment is precise, the finish is exceptional, and the performance improvement is real. Here’s why riders across the UK keep coming back to us:
- Grade 304 Stainless Steel Construction: Resistant to corrosion, heat, and the inevitable road grime that comes with UK riding conditions. This isn’t a can that’ll be looking tired after its first winter.
- CNC Mandrel Bending: Unlike conventional bending methods that can crimp and restrict the pipe, mandrel bending preserves the full internal diameter throughout every curve, keeping exhaust gases flowing freely and efficiently.
- OEM Downpipe Compatibility: The link pipes are engineered to marry up perfectly with the kawasaki z1000-sx 2010-2019’s standard downpipes, making this a clean, straightforward swap with no modifications to the existing setup.
- Improved Exhaust Note: Let’s be honest — one of the biggest reasons you’re here is the sound. This performance exhaust transforms the Z1000-SX’s exhaust note into something far more characterful, giving it the bark and growl that matches the bike’s sporting credentials.
- Weight Saving: Compared to the heavy OEM silencer, fitting a performance can significantly reduces unsprung and overall weight, contributing to a more responsive, agile ride.
We’re passionate about motorcycles at Max Torque Cans, and that passion shows in every product we make. The kawasaki z1000-sx 2010-2019 is a serious machine — it deserves a serious performance exhaust.
Fitting the Kawasaki Z1000-SX 2010-2019 Link Pipes — Installation Notes
Fitting the link pipe kit to your kawasaki z1000-sx 2010-2019 is a straightforward process, but a few tips will make the job even smoother:
- Allow the engine to cool completely before starting work. OEM downpipes and existing exhaust components will be extremely hot after riding and can cause serious burns.
- Use copper grease on all threads and joints before assembly. This prevents the stainless steel components from seizing under heat, and will make future removal far easier.
- Check all fixings for tightness after your first ride. It’s normal for joints to settle slightly after the first heat cycle, so a quick re-torque is always recommended.
- Inspect the OEM downpipe flanges for any signs of damage or warping before fitting. The link pipes will seal correctly on undamaged flanges — if in doubt, have them checked by a qualified mechanic.
- Start all bolts by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten in sequence for an even, leak-free seal.

Our commitment to adhering to regulations is evident in our product design and labelling, and hence with new updates from ACEM, DVSA and DfT, we are ensuring our exhaust systems are compliant with new and upcoming legislation and regulations. Specifically, two changes detailed below:
Road Legal Exhausts: Our road legal exhausts will have the BSAU stamped markings and be crafted with non-removable baffles, aligning seamlessly with the standards set by ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers). These baffles are an integral part of our design to ensure that your motorcycle exhaust complies with road regulations, providing you with a legal and enjoyable riding experience.
Race Exhausts and Silencers: For those seeking an exhilarating experience on the track, our race exhausts are engineered to deliver optimal performance. Clearly marked with type approval markings “Not for Road Use” etched into the side, these exhausts are specifically designed for racing applications. This distinction is in line with DVSA policy, ensuring that our race exhausts are suitable for track use, meeting the highest performance standards without compromising on safety.
